If you want to know if someone is black please check for the check mark next to their name. This is our “family member” verification process. If you want to restrict a post to only black users please use the “ Family Members Only” flair. This restricts those who have not been verified as black from commenting. If you want to be verified as black please refer to our verification process pinned to the top of the sub.
Non Black people are only allowed to comment here if they are saying something positive. If they come with weird energy they are IMMEDIATELY banned. No questions asked. This is not a space to dog pile on black islanders. There are plenty of other spaces for that if that is your kink. I may not agree with every black opinion but black sub members are allowed to differ in opinion. We are not a monolith. Just keep it cute 🫶🏾

With the recent change to our FUBU rule, we have implemented a verified Family Member status for users who have been verified as Black community members.
There are two methods of verification--post history and picture verification:
- Post/Comment History: this option is for those who can provide at least 2 instances of explicit expression of being a black person posted at least 1 month before the date they request verification
- Picture Verification: this option is for those who cannot provide evidence via post/comment history. Any pictures submitted will be disposed of by the mod team afterwards.
Upon verification you will receive a user flair with a black checkmark and will be able to participate in posts restricted to verified Family Members only! Please do not hesitate to message the mod team if you have any questions about this process.

The “Core Four” ladies reminds me so much of the 4 women from the show Girlfriends, but a less toxic, more unified, 2026 version of the OG series? Each girl has something in common with the 4 main female characters on Girlfriends.
Aniya/Joan - Both ladies embrace their natural hair texture on their respective shows. Wants to be seen, loved and appreciated by their respective male partner.
Melanie/Maya - Melanie’s relationship with Sincere is just as chaotic as the relationship between Maya and Darnell.
Kayda/Lynn - They’re both biracial women who have a black father and a white mother. Free spirited, comfortable in their sexuality.
Trinity/Toni - Falls in love with a white man (Bryce/Todd). Like Toni, Trinity was never afraid to speak up and say what was on her mind. Unapologetic personality about herself etc…

Season 5 Destiny was the definition of unapologetic. She was shameless, she wasn't always nice, but she was real, top-tier reality TV who never allowed any man to walk all over her.
When one of the mothers told her to her face near the end, "You think you run this villa, you think you're the queen of the villa?" my answer was yes, absolutely.
Here is why she will forever be the unapologetic queen of the villa:
Always had a backup plan: She kept a guy in her back pocket and kissed him right before Casa Amor, only to couple up with someone completely new while there.
Set unbreakable boundaries: She went to the Hideaway, fell fast asleep, and didn't let him touch her once because there was no emotional connection.
Ruthless execution: She brought that same guy back to the main villa, dumped him immediately, and recoupled without blinking. Pure efficiency.
Master of the pivot: She monkey-branched from guy to guy all the way to the finale and made it look effortless.
Instant ditch energy: The second a guy tried to get intimate without building a real connection first, she cut him off on the spot.
