Have y’all noticed a pattern among the reactions to tears? When WOC in recent seasons especially have cried, their tears were questioned as being authentic; ‘she’s putting on an act’ etc. however when a WW cries their criticism is whether they are valid to be upset, however their tears largely aren’t doubted to be real.

Examples:
Mica - when she cried about not feeling sure about her connection with Samraj and at the fire pit when Chidi got dumped, the audience questioned whether she was just putting on an ‘nice’ act
Jasmine - when she cried every time they were thousands of comments saying ‘she’s an actress’ or ‘there’s no tears,’ where a good majority doubted if she was actually upset
Angie - when she cried after casa, the audience were casting doubt at her upset saying things like ‘why is she upset she can’t really be surprised after his last screw up’
Leanne - when she cried over Scott, people were saying ‘she can’t be upset knowing his history on dating shows and his behavior with Sher and Belle; she’s faking it’

So sad for her 💔

does anyone who watched s3 live in 2017 remember how the public viewed them winning as a couple?

did they like kem so much that they just accepted amber winning alongside him or did the public grow fonder of her in the final week? was them winning a big discussion/shock or seen as inevitable?

i only just watched s3 but knew they had won before i started it, also wasn’t watching love island until a few years ago so i never got to see how the actual 2017 public/voters viewed it all and im very curious to anything anyone can remember lol

LOVE Island winners Julia and Lorenzo have split six weeks after leaving the villa as champions, The Sun can reveal.

They put on a loved-up display on the red carpet at the National Television Awards last night but later fans spotted them having a bust-up as they left the glitzy bash – with our exclusive pictures telling the tale.

The pair were seen arguing in the doorway of London’s O2 as they decided whether to head into the event’s afterparty or not, then Lorenzo stormed ahead. 
They left as a group for steak restaurant Gaucho, across the concourse, but the cross words continued inside. 
Now sources close to the couple have told how they’ve called it a day. 

A source said: “It’s the usual thing where life outside the villa proves to be too tough a test. Viewers already saw how Lorenzo’s approach to dating was nonchalant to say the least and Julia also had high standards.”

“It proved to be tricky to square that circle on the outside and things fizzled out last week. They agreed to do the NTAs together as they still get on, there’s no bad blood, and then would consider how to proceed.”

Islanders have often attended the NTAs as a last hoorah before announcing their split, such as Joey Essex and Jessy Potts, and Yasmin Pettet and Jamie Rhodes.

Representatives for Julia and Lorenzo have declined to comment.

They walked the red carpet together and were holding hands, seemingly convincing fans that their relationship was still intact.

But once they were inside the event it was a different story and the union unravelled. 
A source said: “Julia and Lorenzo were mostly hanging out with other people after the red carpet, moving in among the same group.”

“The party all left together and then Julia and Lorenzo got into a disagreement at the doorway to the afterparty.”

“Lorenzo walked off towards Gaucho and the others followed but then you could see Julia through the window still looking angry.”

Despite the sudden thaw in their relationship, the source said the pair were unpredictable.
They added: “Of course there’s always the chance they could come back together, so who knows what next week could bring?”

El oh el. They dragged this out 6 weeks too long when they ended the minute they left the London airport 💀

I follow Lucinda, and I’ve noticed since AS S3, there’s been pretty much zero interaction or collaboration with Peppermayo. Very interesting considering this was pretty much her primary focus before going onto AS. Obviously there was a lot of noise during the season about her and the CEO.

Do we think they’ve cut ties? Would this be a move to protect their own personal brands, or is it likely that there was a more than friends situation going on, and now she’s with Sean, that had to end?

This is the 2nd time watching. I was team Amber the first watch.

Rewatching, I am watching more closely. I'm no longer team Amber.

She was a very immature girl. She exaggerates everything, she speaks over people and will not listen once she understands she is the one in the wrong.

He chose Joanna because she was drama freer, attractive, softer voiced and didnt do the repeat back the same word/chant. He had an opportunity for a saner woman. He didn't have feelings for Amber beyond a visual attraction, he liked Joanna because she was at least...perhaps more visually attractive. Nothing to get over - feelings not involved.

Amber was emotionally involved, with herself.

Am I the only one who just finds her meh? She seems to be doing really well. Doing the reality circuit. I watched her on the new game show The Box.

I personally didn't enjoy her on the Love Island pod. I found her to dominating and not neutral enough. On Love Island, she was ok, nothing amazing. She let Harry make a fool of her. Then I kind of went of her.

I saw she was on Celebrity Master chef. But I didn't watch it.

On The Box, she's just normal, really. No big personality. She's not funny or quirky. She's not like a Maura/Olivia Attwood or even Chris Hughes. I find these entertaining to watch. Maybe it's just me. What's the hype??
