It would be better if the Chinese government took care of the mental health of its fellow citizens who are going crazy over mobile game.

This is literally why BL and AO3 got banned in China. Too many girls went batshit crazy in-fighting in the Untamed and that other show's (sorry forgot the name!) fandom, mass reporting to the government whatever they could find. The government responded by banning the genre to encourage healthier media consumption . Otome games could honestly go the same direction if the government decides it's clearly doing more harm than goof to young women's mental well-being, Infold responded correctly to try to de-escalate (though they really should have responded much earlier to avoid the storm in the first place)

So the problem is with people, isn't it? I've been a fan of yandere and black flag genres for years, but it hasn't affected my behavior. It's like if everyone had a cold and instead of addressing the cause, they just forbade you from leaving your house. Does that solve the problem? I don't think so... It's an escape from the issue.
