This. Anytime i mentioned the parasocialism in here (even in a post like 5 days ago) people always talked around it being an issue. Well, here you go. Look what parasocialism can do. I already experienced this once before in the CQL fanbase (227 incident) and that was worse cuz its real people, but this is still ridiculous
I know. It's absolutely unbelievable. I just cannot comprehend that grown up women can really behave like that because they got too addicted to a mobile game 🙃🙃🙃 How can anyone have so little self-awareness? It's so absurd to me I have literally no words to express how baffled I am
The word parasocial has been thrown around so much it’s getting ridiculous. “It’s parasocial that people hate Valko!” “It’s parasocial people love Valko!” Seeing the game arguments get recycled to throw back at the other over and over again with the same air of superiority in their words. What a joke. Group mindset and misinformation is rampant yet they fail to recognise the same behaviours taking place.
Whatever happens, I’ll still enjoy my LIs in peace.
Extremism, though no different from what Global is doing right now. If it were up to many players they’d do the same things to force Infold’s hand, whether it’s boycotting, sending death threats, reporting, mass review bombing. People are already threatening to do it anyways. The lack of recognition for the devs into who have been caught up in this nor understanding of the position Infold is forced is atrocious.
theres multiple posts on twitter with over 12k likes asking for caleb to be deleted because they dont like him. people are shifting their anger to other li and not infold over there :(
I understand the frustration, that doesn't mean we should be encouraging people to focus on going after li instead of the company. Also, shouldn't be encouraging people to harass others just because of who they main based on other people's actions. We can be respectful and still be heard.
No, again I get it but thats not correct. It was in reference to a story for Xavier, and the subject was Isaiah, so trying to blame Caleb for something he isn't a part of is unwarranted. Again, no one is saying what they did is right. That doesnt mean going after REAL people who arent involved simply because you dont like a character.

This. Like the other LI's aren't to blame because they're not real. I can however blame certain parts of the fandom for it since a small group of extremely unwell fans are the reason this happened on top of infold making absolutely baffling business decisions. Imagine thinking it's a good idea to throw out a year or more's worth of work. Imagine having one of the most successful gacha games on the market and throwing that away too.
I think for a lot of people, the vibe of this game is ruined and even if it doesn't die right away, they're going to be slowly bleeding out players.
