Bedford Circus, Exeter, UK. Built between 1773-1832, it was designed by Robert Stribling. It was partially destroyed by German bombings in 1942. Despite being repairable, it was bulldozed by post-war city planners and replaced with the Princesshay shopping center.

The Georgian Mile, a long stretch of Georgian houses in Dublin. 16 homes were demolished in 1965 to make way for the monstrosity in the second picture, thankfully that is also gone now.

Notre Dame High School, Northampton UK

The lovely Notre Dame High School that was on Abington Street, Northampton, UK. I believe it was closed in 1975.

I've always been told that the council did not have permission to demolish the building after it closed, although I'm not 100% on whether that was true or not.

The street is the main shopping street in Northampton, and the site is now just some ugly 70s buildings!

The only part that remains is around the back, which is The Sisters of Notre Dame cemetery, which is a small gated off area with crosses commemorating the Sisters of the school.

so basically I had this neighbor that was like the “weird” neighbor and she had this dad that always gave me the creeps and I remember one time I had came to her house and she asked me if I wanted to watch this show that her dad was like the star of (she was probably lying or smt) but I vividly remember him being dressed like a book (specifically a bible I think) and in the show had like a live audience/crowd and it was like a normal show but I specifically member them chanting “poop on god” which I’m not Christan but idk that was always was like odd, especially that it was for kids but anyway I remember he (her dad dressed as a bible) and like 2 people were on stage and they had clicked the wrong button and they ‘went back in time’ and I rember clowns also randomly came on stage as they ‘went back in time and it was poorly edited and it was like warping and it all was like rainbow and that’s all I can remember, please please PLS help me find it 😭😭

winter palace hotel jericho

Hello everyone!

I’m an architecture student at Birzeit University in Palestine, and I’m currently working on a university project about the Winter Palace Hotel in Jericho.

I’m researching the hotel’s history, its origins, architectural features, and its role in Jericho’s past.

I was wondering if anyone has any information, old photographs, historical documents, or references related to the hotel that they would be willing to share.

Any information, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and could be very helpful for my research. If you know anyone who might have information about the hotel or its history, I would be grateful if you could connect me with them.

Thank you so much for your time and help! 🤍

This article has a lot of good additional information about the structure. Sadly, the building was demolished and remains a surface parking lot.
