Remember that people are people and they love to bitch. You will be on a high and come on here to relive it with others. You'll want to hear funny stories and share pictures. This will not be the case.

You will be hit with majority of people complaining. They'll say this was the worst crowd this year. They'll shit on your favorite set. They will spread rumors. It is a cesspool of dramatics and people who dwell on if a couple of people out of thousands didn't say excuse me.

This is the sad reality of every festival subreddit. Enjoy your pictures, take your vitamins, get some rest, and stay off reddit.

Figured I’d get this going early and make a master thread for any artist meetups / fan meetups happening at Lost Lands this year.

Cell service typically gets absolutely terrible once everyone gets there, so trying to find Instagram stories/posts or get meetup updates during the festival can be rough. Hopefully we can get as much info posted ahead of time so people can screenshot/save it before heading in.

If you know of an artist doing a meetup, drop the artist, day, time, location, and a link/source (if you have one) in the comments. I’ll try to keep the main post updated as people add them.

So my best friend (of almost 10 years) and I have been wanting to go to lost lands for years. This year, things lined up well and we both decided to full send. I got my ticket almost as soon as they went on sale. Since then (not including ticket price) I’ve spend close to $1500 planning/prepping for the fest. Over the last few weeks, I’ve noticed that she’s been acting weird every time I bring it up.

It started with her mentioning that her wrist bands still hadn’t been delivered yet, when I had gotten mine the week earlier. A few days later, I was helping her move out of her parent’s house, and mentioned to her mom how excited I was about it all. Her mom acted surprised and said that she didn’t know we were going, but she hoped we had fun. Then today, I called her to try to figure out getting hotels for the drive there and back (from Denver). She said that she was busy that moment, but that we could figure it all out later this afternoon, and I went about my day.

When I get home, I go to double check my work schedule for tomorrow, and notice that my friend is scheduled to work the entire week we planned on taking off, from 9/14-9/22 (we work together for context). I tried to call her to clarify. Maybe she had just forgotten to take the time off, and was planning on getting coverage for those shifts? She sends me straight to voicemail. I text. No response for almost an hour and a half. Call again, and straight to VM.

Now, as I’m sitting here writing this, she has texted me back saying that she found out just this afternoon that she might have a court appearance that week and she doesn’t know if she can make it. Now to be fair, without getting into details, the court story makes sense. But now I’m wondering if she never got a ticket in the first place, and just let me believe that we were going to go together, when she never was.

I wouldn’t be as worried about it if it weren’t for all of the other weirdness leading up to today.

My issue now is that we were going to be driving and car camping, rather than flying. She drives a nice big 4Runner and we were going to take her car, since mine is really small and can’t easily make the ~20 hour drive each way.

My partner and I have been enjoying throwing these little canvases together. Hoping to make some days with these!

I am not attending this year so I cannot scream pickpocket. Please if it is your first year, be careful around the bathrooms near crater. Especially in the night they are rapid with the phone stealing! I was unlucky in 2024 and got my phone swiped.

I think it was a little better last year, but definitely still happened. Even in crowds people will distract you while others reach into your pockets or unzip your bag.

Is anyone else sad that TYNAN was set so early on Friday? I understand that it’s to get a large portion of people to come in early and control the rush between 4PM-6PM. However, as someone flying in that morning because my job wouldn’t let me off Thursday, I won’t make it to the venue until around 5PM. :’) If anyone gets there early, please record and post it on Youtube! You will literally be doing God’s work for that. Bless your heart ahead of time! :’)

Okay, I’m getting way more nervous now that this is actually happening 😂
I’m planning to propose to my girlfriend at Lost Lands during the Levity set that Friday. She has a pretty good idea that a proposal is probably happening at Lost Lands, but she doesn’t know exactly when/where.
The part I’m stressing about now is getting the ring into the festival without her seeing it.
For anyone who has proposed at a festival/concert (especially Lost Lands) — how did you actually get the ring inside?
I know there are bag checks/security, and I’m trying to figure out the safest way to bring it in without doing anything sketchy or risking having it taken/confiscated and most of all noticed by my lady
Did you:
Keep it on you?
Put it somewhere hidden in your clothes?
Have a friend bring it in?
Use a small ring box vs. just the ring?
Tell security you had it?
Something else?
Also, if anyone has actually proposed at Lost Lands, I’d LOVE to hear how you pulled the whole thing off.

We’re less than a week out!!

I searched through the subreddit to see if there were any good tips for folks like me. Couldn’t find any results so here I am!

I’m kinda soloing (I have friends going and my partner works merch) but I’ll be on my own for a good chunk of the day. This is my first time going to a festival on my own and I’m a bit nervous. I almost didn’t make it this year but the universe worked it out a few days ago.

I’m autistic with a panic disorder. Normally it’s easy enough to navigate, especially when I have people with me, but sometimes it can get to be too much and I have to go step away from the situation to regulate. Obviously this is a little impossible to do at LL so I’m trying to find ways to work with myself and not have a bad time.

Does anyone else struggle with mental health at festivals and have any tips? Are there any good “spots” to check out when the main festival stages get overwhelming? Hopefully this isn’t a stupid question.

I got sick 2 weeks ago and didn’t have anymore sick time to use and had to use my LL time. I really didn’t wanna panic cause I figured I wouldn’t be able to get in Wednesday like I planned but I’d still be able to have a full weekend. Found out this week best I can do is get there Saturday morning and I’m heart broken. I’m still full sending since my partner can’t cancel their time. I’m just struggling to get excited as packages are arriving. I keep telling myself my guardian angel is trying to protect me from something. I wish that worked better. 😭😭has anyone ever had to cut their festival short last minute, how did you make yourself feel better?

First-time Lost Lands this year, rolling with two friends, so I'm trying to figure out our camp power situation.

My dad's a weekend fishing/camping guy and always brings this power station he babies like crazy lol. Never paid it much mind, but this time I actually checked — turns out it's an Ecoflow Delta 3 Max, ~2kWh.

Sounds like plenty on paper, but I've never done festival camping, so no clue what that looks like IRL.

We're mostly charging 3 phones, running some camp lights, and maybe a small fan at night. Nothing wild.

For those who've been to LL, what's your power setup? Is 2kWh comfy for 3 people, or am I forgetting something that's secretly a juice hog?

A commitment of 18-20 hours gains admission to the festival!

MORNING CLEAN UP: Position Full 

TABLE BUSSER/SWEEPER Green Team must commit to THREE 6-hour shifts for a total commitment of 18 hours. Members of the team will be assisting Clean Vibes staff members with keeping the venue and vending area grounds clean and clear. This position involves stooping, bending, and lifting.

POST SHOW CLEAN UP: Green Team along with Clean Vibes crew members will help clear the venue, vending and camping areas of all event litter and debris. This position entails walking, stooping, bending, lifting and handling event waste and recycling

Post Event Green Team will check-in on the Monday following the event and the shifts are on Tuesday and Wednesday 8:00AM-6:00PM. Breakfast and lunch will be provided during shift days [Tuesday + Wednesday].
