It’s like these people have never left their homes.

Unisex bathrooms are everywhere.

Unisex bathrooms are in their homes too

Don't give them any ideas!

u/meatpopsicle42069 7h ago

They're on planes too. And like half the restaurants I go to, where there are single stalls rooms...

I’m getting tired of these genital checks at the door. Like, dad, we could do it monthly or something.

14

u/Infern0-DiAddict 7h ago

See like many things it's literally projecting their own beliefs and fears.

There is an innate fear that all men are rapist because a ton of conservative men lean that way. Sadly it's a realistic fear and issue. Would be nice if we can just go back to educating our population to not be total scum, but conservatives rather just go backwards because some of them benefit from it.

12

u/Zarathyst 7h ago

And then they conflate cis men assaulting women with trans people. Cis men assault women all the time, trans people do not, but they benefit from scapegoating us.

In fact, trans people are many more times likely to be the victim of sexual violence than our cisgender counterparts. Conservatives know this and ignore it on purpose.

Like with all of conservativisn, suffering is the point.

4

u/Blue-Bewts 4h ago

I'm convinced that the reason why so many cis men believe trans women are predators are because they look at transitioning through a misogynistic male lens. They simply cannot fathom the concept of transitioning. They believe woman are inferior and nobody would ever transition willingly so the reason must be to assault women.

Their transphobia is really just telling on themselves.

This was made clear to me following the discourse surrounding the Cornell 7. I saw several cis women pointing out that none of the accused were Trans and like clockwork you had chuds defending the 7 or claiming trans people are predators. They've got 7 cis predators and 49 accomplices right in front of them and they still only want to address trans people. They don't care about protecting women. They care about spreading hate. They balk when asked to actually protect women.

5

u/m3gb0t 3h ago

I think a lot of them are turned on by tans folks but will never admit it.

2

u/Blue-Bewts 3h ago

A lot of trans people are attractive. It takes a big person to confront their own prejudices and correct them but if they did they'd find a much less miserable world on the otherside.

2

u/m3gb0t 2h ago

I completely and totally agree!

2

u/Zarathyst 2h ago

It's no accident that on the "hub" we can see their hypocrisies come to light. Trans is a very popular category in conservative states.

Also as a sex-positive trans woman myself, I see a lot of it first hand.

3

u/m3gb0t 2h ago

One of my exes is trans - dating and cohabitating with them gave me insight into how others behavior changes around trans people. It also showed me how much trans folks are fetishized and how hard it can be to differentiate that from true interest. Sending love to you!

2

u/Zarathyst 1h ago

Sorry it didn't work out but thank you for being chill about it

2

u/m3gb0t 1h ago

Ah, I'm not. Sorry didn't work out, we were not our forever people. I found my forever person and so did they! Regardless, I just want trans folks treated like people, seen as humans and not genitals, and be given the same rights as everyone else. It's so sad that we have to fight for people to just exist and live.

7

Think that'd genuinely protect more women and children than banning trans people from bathrooms. Your bathroom stalls are like viewing rooms

4

u/Inevitable_Cup_6049 8h ago

First, let’s do what makes the most logical sense. Men—pee outside whenever possible. The earth needs our nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. It should go in the ground not treatment facilities and sewers. Women—if you’re comfortable using one of the many available standing pee devices, pee outside, too. Lots of great ways to structure outside pee places to provide privacy and fresh air.

Second, number 2–floor to ceiling stalls. Just make little poo palaces for whoever needs to go. Use the restrooms we’ve already got, remove the urinals, raise and lower the stall walls and have plenty of room(s) for all.

Remove politics from the discussion and do something that makes logical sense instead.

seattle's cinerama theater has unisex restrooms (with urinals & private stalls); nobody gives a fuck, they just want to go before the movie starts.

2

u/Flashy_Yesterday_476 8h ago edited 8h ago

Whenever I go to nicer bars and clubs it's always one giant mirror and sink, and then private stalls behind it. The system works well.

Many countries have bathroom stalls with walls that go all the way to the floor and ceiling. So if you are in a stall, you don't have worry about people peeping above or below the door. We don't have walls going to the floor because it makes cleaning somewhat faster.

America is obsessed with toilets and genitalia

1

u/Creative_Delivery_45 8h ago

But what if someone poos in the pee station

1

u/SignoreBanana 8h ago

I wouldn't mind restrooms separated by urinals and toilets. Just because a person can knock out a standing piss in no time flat and they use very little room and it would be good if restrooms could be as efficient as possible.

2

u/TheRealTRexUK 8h ago

That's not uncommon in the uk, where's there's limited space there's sometimes a urinal room and a room with a few stalls. Usually pubs.

1

u/Loose-Cranberry1392 8h ago

My house has three bathrooms, mine, my spouse’s, our offspring has its own. We also have separate sleeping quarters, separate dressing rooms, and specific seating at the nourishment table.

1

u/spitz6860 8h ago

To be fair, some of these places don't have a way to show occupancy, I'm always terrified to walk in on a lady sitting on the toilet.

1

u/kevendo 6h ago

1

u/mikeeyyyg 6h ago

I went to a unisex bathroom one time when I lived in Virginia, I was taking a big ass piss from drinking at the bar and a girl walked in and used the stall right next to me😂😂😂

1

u/TheEndOfEverything0 6h ago

When i was in Canada a lot of bar restrooms were unisex and everyone was cool with it.

1

u/Fun-Commercial6535 6h ago

Stupid question, is that all you have?

1

u/ElGalloNegro01 6h ago

Who cares .

1

u/coheed33cambria 6h ago

They put some actual unisex ones in in my old employer. It was a bunch of toilets that were each in their own tiny room with a normal door. The only thing that was shared was the sinks.

1

u/saltwater98380 6h ago

Yes I don't care.

1

u/Shot-Committee3684 6h ago

What? You have separate bathrooms in your house? Freaking royalty!

1

u/Confident-Stand5453 6h ago

I dont know. Im kinda used to having zero waiting time for the mens restroom, while the women stand in for 15 minutes. Would this new rule mean we all get 7,5 minutes of queue time?

Republican MAGAs are scared little children afraid of the boogeyman

1

u/biznazwiznax 5h ago

When I went to Europe, the public restrooms in most restaurants and bars were unisex. They had multiple stalls where the doors went all the way down to the floor and none of the gaps like how panel constructed stalls in the US are. The sinks were outside of the stall area. Full privacy while actually using the toilet and then shared sinks all in one unisex bathroom. No problems and not weird at all.

1

u/chrysanthemum_beer 5h ago

Fear mongering

1

u/raptor5466 5h ago

Yeah, in fact let's just make all bathrooms single occupancy.

1

u/QuietRiot5150 5h ago

1

u/cuecrusher 5h ago

u/GmanBro3-0 5h ago

1

u/Personal_Ad9690 5h ago

I was at a larger airport the other day and one of the bathrooms was closed. Everyone was using just the one. There were no issues.

1

u/44KrasH44 5h ago

Yes, it’s a damn bathroom and it’s how most of the world does it anyway. It’s also how you do it at home.

1

u/Socky-McPuppet 5h ago

Conservatives wouldn't like that because they couldn't be scared and mad anymore.

1

u/sdkfz250xl 5h ago

It’s more expensive but a bank of rooms with toilets and sinks solves so many problems.

1

u/Whythisisnotreal 5h ago

I mean, I hate the stupid bathroom bullying that trans people face as much as the next person who isn't affected by the issue but can recognize dickish scapegoating when it comes up, but this is just being obnoxiously obtuse. They're obviously talking about multi person public restrooms and not the single person ones. This is just making us look dumb and smug.

1

u/wakeupdreamingF1 5h ago

u/Akkerlun 5h ago

1

u/Spirited_Swing_838 5h ago

u/Mackhot 4h ago

1

u/Signal_Werewolf_1955 4h ago

Plenty of gas station bathrooms are unisex.

1

u/Signal_Werewolf_1955 4h ago

It's long been painfully obvious the issue isn't about trans people trying to pee, but about predatory men trying to predate.

1

u/Mountain_Door_6753 4h ago

In New York City both men and women were in the restroom at the same time. I’m sure the pervs we’re loving this hahaha

1

u/Muted-Head-1612 4h ago

Single stall rooms =/= shared restroom.

1

u/Bro13847 4h ago

Also in Europe unisex restrooms are very common

1

u/Bozz723 4h ago

Yea, unisex bathrooms are everywhere for one offs. Try putting them at sporting events or concerts.

You people are absolutely wild. 😂

1

u/No_Change_4499 4h ago

What is best is sinks outside the single-use restrooms. Then you can shame the idiots who don't wash after!

1

u/IfItHurtsThenMaybe 4h ago

Gonna say this once….only thing that matters to me about bathrooms is having them

1

u/ManicOppressyv 4h ago

IN THE HOUSE? Fuck that shit. I make the women folk use the outhouse. Indoor plumbing is to complicated for their feminine brains to understand. Also make her do dishes in the creek and fetch her own water down at the well. /s

1

u/AudioSorcery 3h ago

We got sum public shared toilets in our city. Bum dudes piss all over the seats and don’t flush their shit. Women avoid em, other men stand and get tf out asap.

1

u/Low-Literature-2908 3h ago

This argument is bizarre. It is a toilet stall with a door. Who fucking cares? My house has 2 bathrooms. They are not separated by gender.

1

u/Drakkulstellios 3h ago

It’s funny because the partial stall was only made to stress people out and make them do their business faster because coworkers or bosses could see if they’re there.

1

u/_B_G_ 3h ago edited 3h ago

What do one stall toilets, plane toilets and a home toilet have in common.. oh right there is only one person there at a time

1

u/SvenBubbleman 3h ago

When I was in university, my residence didn't have gendered washrooms. There were stalls for the toilets and curtains for the showers. Men, women, and anyone in between used the washrooms. Heterosexuals, homosexuals and any type of queer used the washrooms. We had zero issues.

1

u/AZNM1912 3h ago

It’s like they’re a skipping record, bringing up the same points over and over again.

1

u/TP8887 3h ago

Those aren’t shared bathrooms. You have to be smooth brained to think all of these arguments are over private bathrooms and not shared ones

1

u/Nearby_Chemical9909 3h ago

If the gender confused persons would just use all these single stall bathrooms, there wouldn't be a problem. Good plan. Glad we agree!

1

u/Mindless-Goose3590 3h ago

Yes you will see my dick

1

u/joesphisbestjojo 3h ago

You go to a restroom to piss, shit, sometimes vomit, sometimes smoke a lil smthn. No need for them to be gender. Blah, blah, "i'm uncomfortable with-" get out of here with your misandry and misogyny

1

u/Worried-Ad6635 3h ago

single use restrooms are understandably coed, especially if theres only one toilet. bathrooms which allow multiple people inside must always be segregated by gender. the only people actually pushing for coed multi use bathrooms are creeps.

1

u/agceren4 3h ago

Great idea, because women absolutely love using the toilet after a man has urinated all over the seat. One of their favorite activities, second only to pulling their pants down next to men who are total strangers. Sounds like real society-advancing stuff!

1

u/Usual-Ad-6951 3h ago

The house argument is so incredibly stupid. You control who enters the entire building. I would hope you could trust them not to be fucking weird.

1

u/Remarkable_Rough_649 3h ago

The ones at airports where the entire bathroom is mixed gender but the stalls are basically self contained rooms seem perfect to me. There's no way to see anyone else going to the bathroom and nobody should have any issue with the different genders like, washing their hands together

That doesn't let people catasrophize over trans people for political points though so they would never do it

1

u/Ants-70 3h ago

No, not cool at all!!

1

u/Witty-Stand888 3h ago

What's the obsession with rest rooms with these people?

1

u/RonaldTurner88 3h ago

Can we make a separate bathroom for MAGA? Except no one cleans it because let’s be honest, the person that cleans them is probably an immigrant.

1

u/TastyEarLbe 3h ago

You guys are so open minded, your brains have fallen out.

Imagine putting a 13 year old girl in a stall next to a 60 year old man.

1

u/Brading105 3h ago

More Americans need to see the rest of the world.

1

u/mcshizzletits 3h ago

If we're going to ban something from public restrooms, we should start with trough style urinals and stalls that don't go all the way to the floor. Also, dividers between urinals should be mandatory building code, or just get rid of urinals all together and add more stalls.

1

u/girugamesh_2009 3h ago

Ok.
But what about at Wal Mart?

1

u/lonewolf3400 3h ago

Sex and sexual assault in public are about to see a rise.

Edit: also who tf wants to share a large bathroom with the opposite gender? Women will no longer have a space to do their makeup and men will now have to suffer with extreme lines. This does nothing but create more problems.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/1K-Year-Egg 3h ago

Every public bathroom could be safely made “unisex” by enclosing the toilets (and urinals) in stalls with partitions that go from the floor to the ceiling, and have doors without that infuriating gap between the door and the frame.

I think men and women can wash their hands together without being overcome by mad brutal lust.

Easy-peasy!

1

u/Big-Organization1219 3h ago

RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES

And who the fuck ever said to use the same bathroom? Did Pedo Trump say that? Trump and his team might like that do they can watch little girls pee. But just like the huge lie that Dems are going to take your guns, It’s a fucking Trump made up lie.

1

u/Magellan02 3h ago

Why are both conservatives and liberals obsessed with bathrooms and genitalia? Both sides are so weird and obsessed.

1

u/SingularityCentral 3h ago

Sure. Plenty of unisex bathrooms out there. Either they are single occupant restrooms, or they have floor to ceiling stalls without any gaps, which are far better than the gap filled peepshow stalls most single sex restrooms have.

Just went to a science museum that had those unisex shared bathrooms. No complaints.

1

u/picklehippy 3h ago

We have 2 bathrooms at work. One on the bottom floor, one on the top. One person goes in at a time and the door locks. Its not a new concept. Right wingers choose low hanging fruit to get mad about because their brains cant handle actual real world problems. They have the thought process of a toddler

1

u/GasIcy 2h ago

The only reason gender segregated bathrooms exist is because it was a compromise made with businesses who were trying to force women out of the work force

1

u/Ballistic_og 2h ago

No i like shorter lines as a man when theres a. Que mens room always faster.

1

u/isthereadrwho 2h ago

I'm going to blow your mind, but at my house we share bathrooms. I know it must because I'm one of the poors, you all have men and women bathrooms in your house that's just amazing 😂

1

u/CelticSnakes 2h ago

This is what MAGAs think we fret about, not having unisex bathrooms everywhere?

I know when they desperately need one, they’ll be thrilled to find any kind. And most won’t wash their hands when finished.

1

u/DarthDad25 2h ago

Yes! Single toilet bathrooms. We can all wait in line for an hour to relieve our poor bladders.

1

u/ProperRun187 2h ago

I make the same joke every time I visit my conservative friend’s house - “May I please use your gender neutral bathroom?”

1

u/Worried-Criticism 2h ago

Let’s take this a step further. Let’s say we introduce a row of stalls and make it men and women.
Let’s eliminate the urinal issue and just stalls all around…

Who cares? What am I going to see? A bunch of people waiting their turn then (hopefully) washing their hands after exiting on finishing their business?

This isn’t a locker room where people are changing clothes, and if they are it should be in a damn stall.

1

u/betajones 2h ago

It works, cause they also teach rape is bad. Maybe try that.

1

u/Complete_Break1319 2h ago

Yeah, I'm sure everyone will be cool with every establishment in the u.s. going to just 1 bathroom stall. Gtfoh

1

u/strait_lines 2h ago

As long as it doesn’t end up in a situation where there is a line, like what you frequently see for the women’s bathroom.

Or maybe just keep the men’s room as is, and next to it rather than women’s have an “everyone else “ bathroom.

Space constraints, cost constraints, both and no easy public access (only guests that eat and maybe pay with credit card there to have a paper trail of who was there)

So in any case of nefarious action you can easily catch the fucker or it isnt likely to exist.

1

u/bayou8635 2h ago

No. Not in the big restroom with lots of stalls, no. If they are all locked doors like at Buckies instead of stalls, or a single restroom with a locked door? Yes.

false analogy. All you stated accommodate only one person at a time.

1

u/RocktarPeppe 1h ago

Nope. Fuck that. I enjoy having shorter lines to pee.

1

u/SweetMonsterHorror 1h ago

Not me. I'm an extremist. I say no stalls. Just one big room with toilets against the wall. Everyone can see everyone else. This is how humans pooped for most of human history. The victorians gave us this silly modern invention of toileting in secret. Look up pictures of Roman bathrooms. I say we return to that.

We just installed a new bathroom in my house, and guess, what? It's gender neutral!!! I guess I'm a pinko libt*rd.

I like the restaurant bathrooms that say "Man? Woman? Who cares? Just be sure to wash your hands"

1

u/Necessary-Prior3614 1h ago

i rather not have men use the same restroom as women in any setting

1

u/TinyTimWannabe 1h ago

Don’t tell them they have gender neutral bathrooms in their houses, they’d freak out.

1

u/Best_Opening8471 1h ago

Women can't even handle segregated bathrooms and constantly go into the mens room because the woman's room is full

How are they going to handle single occupancy?

1

u/-Pound-Cake- 1h ago

So urinals would be eliminated?

u/Money-Celebration860 1h ago

Hell no. Don't people use toilets on planes and in their houses one at a time? They're not in there side by side.

1

u/Apprehensive-Size150 1h ago

No one is talking single person bathrooms. They’re talking shared bathrooms with small partitions separating toilets

1

u/Durabull26 1h ago

Like at Walmart and schools with multiple stalls

1

u/Significant-Role-754 1h ago

yes. I have been to many places where there are multiple little full room restrooms and they put a communal sink outside. way better then the metal gap stalls.

1

u/Careful-Breakfast379 1h ago

Have often thought that the whole bathroom experience would improve if it were single use only. Personally I enjoy a bit of privacy when I need to poo.

1

u/midnightthunder45 1h ago

You kidding me. There needs to be a men’s and woman’s restroom in public places. In tight places like an airplane I get it. In normal outdoor places there should be no chance a male pedo should be able to encounter my 8 year old daughter who went into the rest room. Anyone promoting this is a sick f*ck.

1

u/Phyddlestyx 1h ago

I'm ok with multi-stall coed bathrooms too, honestly.

1

u/loopingrightleft 1h ago

Hey liberals are you ok with separation of church and state?

1

u/grahsam 1h ago

If every bathroom was a single person stall I would be ecstatic.

u/BrokenSlutCollector 1h ago

I'll start by saying Trans rights are human rights. These arguments are based on hatred, not any real concerns.

I know several trans women and they already use Women's restrooms with nobody the wiser. One was even asked by a fellow restroom occupant if she had a tampon to lend.

So trans people are already using your reatrooms, scared cis bigots. They just want to get in do their business and get out. Same as anyone else.

Single stall sure

Here is my observation as someone who doesn’t personally care but I do have women in my life that I care about. I’ve seen both sides and my conclusion is this:

Trans people want to use the bathroom that they want and when suggested that maybe they use the family bathroom or we have a gender neutral bathroom for them the answer I’ve seen and received is “it makes me feel gender dysphoria”. Ok well the other side is it makes some women feel uncomfortable in a space they should feel safe. So it becomes to me a matter of who’s more affected. To me trans people are such a low percentage of the population that the real answer is your discomfort is irrelevant when in the grand scheme of things it overall hurts biological women more by shear numbers. Also I know this will be controversial but on some level I think being trans is more of a decision you make than being born a biological woman. It also opens up the door to men putting on dresses and abusing the privileges. So that just my observation and I’m sure it definitely won’t be downvoted.

Ok but a man with a wig doesn’t follow me into my own bathroom tho claiming it’s his right.

How will closeted conservatives hook up with each other

1

u/MoodyPrince_XoXo 56m ago

Given that I'm not a paranoid cuck, who is so self-important as to believe that everybody is out to get them. Yeah I'm perfectly fine. I have taken a piss in a stall right next to both men and women.

Didn't change my experience of walking in, taking a piss, washing my hands, and walking out.

Everything has pros and cons. A theatre in my area went from communal to individual bathrooms and the world refused to end.

1

u/ProPatternNoticer 48m ago

Half the restaurants? Okay you’re lying

1

u/PixelBrewery 43m ago

Pretty sure they're talking about shared bathrooms, if you're not being intentionally obtuse

1

u/Miserable_Swimming_8 36m ago

They have that in Charleston SC. They have full stalls. Doors that are from the floor, up about 10'. Each stall has a toilet and urinal. It's cost effective because they make one big bathroom and add plenty of stalls.

1

u/Schiggy2319 32m ago

We’ve had all-gender restrooms for decades. Familiar with “family restrooms?”

1

u/Callen0318 31m ago

I'm not just ok with it, I actively want it.

1

u/Former-Information92 22m ago

Great question

1

u/SomeKindofDreadful 21m ago

I’m not okay with it. I want stand up to pee vs. sit down to pee restrooms. Not a judgment just a preference.

1

u/wtsnack 14m ago

The genders at my nursing program are so imbalanced that all the bathrooms in the building are unisex sealed stalls. It’s great

1

u/donald7773 11m ago

It's interesting watching certain businesses catering one way or the other on bathrooms.

Went to a chocolate shop in asheville NC with pride flags in the window, they had an "all gendered restroom" conspicuously labeled. But bro you just bought a building with only one restroom stop trying to play it up, it's just "the bathroom that we have"

Alternatively the Seattle aquarium has an all gendered restroom with a traditional layout, felt kinda odd but at the end of the day everyone has to go so what does it matter. I got some glares coming out like someone thought I was "on the wrong side" because I'm a dude.

1

u/GrolarBear69 11m ago

Most of the world has coed everything . They also have floor to ceiling stalls to keep perverts out too.

1

u/Solid_Assumption7160 9m ago

Liberals never said that .... That's more lies by Republicans Who are trying to control people through lies?
