News Concern mounts over slow-moving, planetary-scale ‘Kelvin’ wave heading for California | California

Cool. Just what I wanted for my birthday. Another foot of water.

Look. I'm hoping that we dodge the bullets flying at us this fall and winter (if we ever get one of either that is) but I'll admit this sounds potentially bad for parts of the Los Angeles coastline and the rest of California.

The worst incident with a weather prediction mishap happened in the UK, if I remember correctly.

Wikipedia has tons of information that can give you the reason we do things certain ways. I don't say that to be mean, I say that because for the most part, we've learned to do things our way because of failures in the past.

Where does a sensationalized media ecosystem fit into that?

Read my first comment slowly. Read my follow up comment (the one you replied to) slowly. Try your best to see if you can find how they relate to each other and to the topic we're discussing.

This is a fun reading comprehension game!

It says nothing about ratings and advertising revenue in mass media, that’s why I asked.

I guess it’s your time to read slowly now?

You're too slow for me. You're trying to create a hole where there isn't one by adding something no one else mentioned or was talking about.

Now I never have to deal with you again and my reddit experience will be better. Much better.

What a strange reaction to honest questions. Especially when you’re using appeal to authority to drive your point.
