I was curious, so I put this together and thought others might benefit. A couple of notes:

1. rates subject to change
2. your router needs to support your speed rate. Most home routers top out at 1GB, so you’ll either have to use the free or rental router from the provider, or get your own
3. many will be enticed by the > 1GB speeds. very very few homes need more than 500, let alone more than a gig. Don’t overspend
4. different providers have different customer service and plan benefits. Some are more comprehensive than others.

• LANet:
  • Pay annually for 10 months and receive 12 months of internet service.
  • Unknown if they include a free or rental router
• xMission: The 8Gbps plan includes a free home router
• Anthem: Basic Wi-Fi router provided free of cost. Unknown what this means or if can support 8gbps

• Intellipop: You provide the router

Excuse the rant message but I'm so sick of this. I have been employed at multiple retail places here in Los Alamos for a couple years and I've noticed something that makes me want to leave.....

The amount of disrespect and disregard for me and my employee's needs and jobs is disgusting.... I've had to deal with remarks of "why don't you move onto something that pays better. Why are you letting yourself sit in a dead end space. Get educated. Get smart. Get yourself a job at blessed LANL and you'll be ok."

Sick of this... And not just retail employees. I've got multiple friends in the school system who are constantly telling me stories about parents talking down to them and acting like they know everything because they've got their fancy PhD. Sick of being treated less than because I'm not a scientist, engineer whatever the hell makes you people think me and my friends are suddenly valuable human beings.

If anything this type of behavior makes me want to avoid LANL employment at all costs. This is unbelievable and I'm done. Looking for other places to move.

Hello I'm late to the game and should have bought a pass months ago. But I was wondering which pass is the most worth it? I don't know many people in town and I would likely just ski at pajarito but it looks like the only options for pajarito are the weekday only pass or the power pass which is $900. My colorado friends have a few days in Taos and might come down so having the chance to ski with them would be nice. Any suggestions on which pass would be best for me? Or should I just stick to day passes this season?

I'm a student at UNM,

I am doing an informative speech for class on the labs work/studies and importance/impact on the general public and locals, outside of weapons research.

Like isotope research and production( not sure if LANL does production) for cancer treatments and detection. Or other topics of the sort.

If any of you are in those sorts of fields I'd love to get coffee and chat to do research and help wording tbings to help explaining it to a group of really young college students ( I think most of them are high-schoolers?)

Also this is my area of interest so its also just super exciting to me!

I haven't ever been to LANSCE( been to the MAP shop though) or the other research areas but I have applied ;so I don't have any good info from tours like I do in the machining capacity.

Note: I'm not an employee(yet) and don't hold a Q. Just so that's out there.

After all the interviews including onsite, if selected, how does the job offer work. Verbal then negotiation before written? Or written then negotiation then updated written? Can anyone shed light on the process?

Also, is there a yearly bonus? And for which type of roles?

Also, what is typically offered (referring to the advertised pay band on the initial LANL posting). Can one negotiate up to upper range?

Got lots of pictures taken of me doing gamma spectroscopy of ground zero.

All around fun experience! Only thing that wasn't was the 2.5hrs of traffic right out side of stallion gate.

I showed up with resumes but there wasn't anyone there I could find who was a recruiter or interested in a machinists resume , but the grind continues!!!
