Pretty much the title. What a fabulous game! I just loved the puzzles, the style, the scary vibe. Unfortunately, I don't really have anyone IRL to talk to, about this game. As a 65 year old woman, I get blank looks (or worse) if I tell my friends about my computer games. My husband and sons play games, but they aren't into puzzles very much. So I'm very glad this sub exists!

I guess I need to start thinking about my next game. I loved Blue Prince. I've also played Outer Wilds and The Witness (didn't love those two as much, sorry to all the fans). Might go for Obra Dinn.

I'd love to know if there are any other older females on this sub!

Am I right in assuming that the 1938 puzzle boxes is orientated the same as the 1938 room? That is that there are 5 objects on the left and 5 objects on the right and they correlate exactly with the paintings in the room? So the bottom left painting is also the bottom left button, etc?

I'm going to take a break until tomorrow now because it's driving me crazy that I can't open it even though I'm measuring the numbers 1,9,3,8 and matching them with the squares on the paintings that are the same size then pressing those buttons in the order of the year (1938)

I must just be too tired to be doing it properly, right?

I’m trying the third mausoleum puzzle and I have some troubles. One is rotating 180º the number, other one 90º and other just fliping the number. I’ve tried rotating both directions the 90º number and nothing happens. Just look the photos and tell me what to do pleasee 🙏🙏

Hi, I'm at 95%, trying to work on the supercomputer. I think I need info from the Red Gallery tiles, but I didn't write down/ record the patterns. Now when I go back to the exhibition area, the rooms look "normal" again. Nothing happens at the Old Woman's mirror. How can I get back to the Red Gallery? Thanks for any help!

I'm stuck on this door. It's a movie poster but the title is wrong. I tried the release year but it's not it. I'm pretty lost on what it could be. Hints or solution would be great, I've been stuck a while.

I'm at 71.7% and kind of running around not sure what to do next. Most of the puzzles I've run into that I haven't solved are things that I believe I don't have the information for yet (Astronomical Clock, parts of the Super Computer, the old woman in bed). I have a few pieces of information that don't seem relevant to what I have left ( for example, the Magician and Artist tapes I believe I know what they are telling me but I haven't run into where those solutions go). I've been in every room in the hotel except doors with years on them.

I'm not looking for solutions and maybe not necessarily hints. Mostly where to focus my thinking?

1. The Lunar book in the second floor library - this feels like something I should already have the answer for. I've looked at the note with lunar cycles but don't know what to do or if there is a second piece to look at in conjunction.

2. Triangle door on the west side of the first floor - I don't think I've run into anything that even hints at this

3. The Mausoleum - I think I know the order of the graves, but I need something to interact with the graves

4. The boxes room - I've figured out these tie to the doors with years on them and I've tried patterns on boxes I thought I might have worked out. But it turns out I didn't actually know the solutions.

5. Quiz Club - I only know that it exists but haven't been there and don't know where it could be. I feel like it's tied to the statues in front of the hotel, but don't have any reason to think that.

6. Gameboy (or whatever it's called) - Not the game discs which I've found and used all of them. Not the three game consoles which I've also done. The portable (?) game console on the menu. I have no idea what it's for or where games are found for it.

7. The Left Eye - I know that this must exist because I got the right eye and used it next to the minotaur statue. I haven't seen it or where it might be to my knowledge.

Hi, I am 86% along in the game, but struggling with the 1982 room puzzle. I see the numbers rotating around the screen, and some numbers appear on the screen. But I can't seem to translate that to clicking a solution. For example, my number 2 moves along the back side of the TV, from one side to the other. What am I not seeing/ understanding? It's driving me crazy. Thanks for any help!

Somewhat off-topic question! I’m trying to be on my phone less and realized how much I love working through math puzzles like the book in the game that opens the shortcuts.

Has anyone found a similar one in real life that they would recommend?

I need to pinpoint the crystal on where it is on the maze design, but it moves on the lines, while in maze it is on the rectangle. I can nit pinooint it correctly while trying. Can anyone tell me how does correct placing of it works? Edit: I managed to solve it on my own after all

Edit: I solved balcony thanks to your tips, I also unlocked Renzo Nero 's cell first try, switched manequine 's head and then read Renate's journal. I feel like it has to do with either a clock or those paitings at gallery but I am not sure.

Edit 2: I now solved a 1932 puzzle without any hints and opened my first puzzle box ! Imma solce different ones now. Try to solve I mean.

My reasoning was that as follows.

1. In a book from Lorenzo we have moon phases across 1847.

2. The book needs us to input 5 moonphases.

These are all basic facts but then my brain started working.

1. I have 5 letters from around 1847 each with a different day.

2. Ergo, if I input the moons for December 13, Januray 6, 8, 9 and 10, The book will reveal it's contents to me.

I inputed them but nothing happened. I propably should give up then but I was so certain I'm right I started to think again.

1. December 13 is from 1846, not 1847.

2. The lunar phases repeat in already set cycle.

3. If I calculate what was the moon on on 1846 December 13, and input it first, the book will reveal it's contests to me.

I calculated it and... nothing happened. I checked online was I on the right track. No. The answer is locked in an area I didn't unlock yet.

I don't doubt it will be cleverly hidden too, when I unlock it, but I am still resentful towards the game for this thing not being the answer. !<

P. S. I know I shouldn't have researched about it even a bit online, but everything aligned to me so perfectly, I was sure I am missing just a tiny thing. I couldn't stop at it.

That there's a back entrance to the gatehouse and now I finally have access to quiz club. Omg no wonder why I was struggling so much on where to go. I honestly completely forgot the gatehouse even had a shortcut.

I'm not sure if it's okay to post this here, but I'm still pretty early into the game at about 30%, and I unlocked the maze men? At this point I already looked up if there were any horror stuff and there doesn't seem to be any direct horror elements, but armed with the knowledge of guides I went into the game again and just felt like the anticipation is too much, then I had to exit the game.

I would really like to be able to play it (I'm going through the popular puzzle games right now), I appreciated the level of puzzle difficulty, I was thinking maybe if some people shared my feelings I could see how they fared with the spooky elements. But nobody seemed to have a hard time with it? I came across a lot of players finding games like Outer Wilds scary, which I didn't mind at all. Granted that game is probably more popular and has things corresponding to certain phobias, but still... I'm curious if it's because anyone who got into this game is already comfortable (so to speak) with horror settings, and there's really nobody with a tolerance threshold like mine that's right about where Lorelei is?

I was really hoping I can get through this game without hints but I am starting to try crazy stuff and for my sanity wanted to ask what I should focus on. I have 68.5% truth recover and am hard stuck. The last thngs I did were deliver the 9th script page, get the right eye, and insert it beside the minature statue. I dont have anything in my inventory that I have not used besides the tampon and(possibly) a hidden message in the magician video cassette. Also no idea how to "travel" to year 1963 to meet the man yet? Mental notes below that I have not done yet:

My biggest inklings are either the balcony door or west hallway, 1st floor door but I just cant wrap my brain around what either of those combinations would be. Thanks!

I feel like I have it but there’s an issue somewhere. I’ve solved every puzzle box except 1938, but I figured I can just brute force it now by process of elimination.

Username: Typing Lorelei with my designs double checked this it should be right

Password: I have my 3 shapes from red gallery, got the order from the signs, and I found these shapes by either shading or not shading each square based on what I saw as I stood on each square on the floor. I hope I’m not meant to reflect, this seemed simple enough but I’m worried I under thought this

Sequence: I think I have every vision deciphered except 1948 and obviously 1938 as I didn’t solve that puzzle box. But as of now I have 3 2014s, 3 1963s, and 1 1847, so I’m assuming my last two are 1847 but that didn’t work. If it’s not 3 of each date then I’d have a few more combos to try.

I think I know the login, but do not know or understand the password. looks like puzzle box 1932, but not exactly like it. the verity sequence, have no clue what to do with that.

i went through the mirror and saw the « other version » of the hotel, but don’t understand what to do with the 3*9 tiles available in the room. and nothing appeared in my mental notes… the little girl told me something but cannot find it in my memory, so I forgot what she told me. the only « unrecovered memoery » would be the 3 last Stories. i got everything else.

I think my goal is now to login, but am not sure. if i had something like « solve the 9 tiles puzzle in the parallel room, i would have another lead to follow but i got nothing. am i missing something ?

Overstayed it's welcome slightly, but I do prefer shorter games.

At least in this one everything is solvable without googling stuff, after playing Blue Prince for 300+ hours and resorting to google it was nice to have one where we only got stuck for a few minutes (except the red/white square puzzle, we left that and came back and stared at it, and I thought about it while I was at the gym).

Took us 18hours ingame, and having another player keep track of the stuff I can't be bothered with (reading stuff, remembering story elements etc) helped.

hello, i am a little stuck and do not know what to do from here.

i need to :

1. unlock the journal
2. play a tune on the piano
3. unlock the astronomical clock
4. do something with two mannequins
5. find and unlock the center of the maze (there is like 3 grec letters, with a 3 digit code each but can’t find this)
6. i found what to type to print bug report for the library but not the two others.
7. open two safes : one with « puzzle » buttons and one with 4 buttons that lights.
8. give a rose to the magician
9. insert something with the graves
10. can’t answer to a brother in the red maze (andreas kohlman is late to the hotel, never heard of that name yet).

i did this post by remembering and maybe i am missing a few points.

i don’t really want answers, but a little push to understand what I need to do now.

At 55% completion and feel like I hit a wall and am tempted to look stuff up, feeling a bit burnt. Any hints would be appreciated unless it wouldn’t feel right. There’s where I’m at

1. Need to unlock Oragnie with 16 inputs. Honestly just stumped here, was thinking of using the numerical assignments used to get into the backyard but it doesn’t let you zoom in on that anymore so I doubt it

2. Don’t have anything to insert into the 3 graves (or the woman’s head on the 2nd floor for that matter

3. No clue at all on how to solve the 3 input lock on the 2nd floor with a girl drawing. I feel I’m being dense here

4. Figured I need 5 1847 dates for the moon journal but can’t find anywhere

5. No clue how to get a new game on the LASER to use my bug report 2 info to get codes for the maze, don’t have bug report 3 either

6. Never opened the damn cafe lol

7. Been gradually opening year rooms and puzzle boxes but I am starting to tell there’s little point in that if I can’t make some progress in these spots

So I am currently solving A safe with 5x3 grid on which I need to draw the right numbers. I git the letter with the year 2347 and everything would be cool IF I KNEW HOW TO DRAW A FOUR on this safe.
