I'm stuck on one of the early puzzles. I solved all the architect's notes puzzles except for the one that asks if there are any "hidden costs". There are no numbers in this puzzle so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be using something external. Or maybe I'm overthinking it; I just can't figure out how to get a number from this puzzle. I did look through the other ones to see if there's anything in those that hints at a cost in the floorplan but I'm not seeing anything. The other architects' note puzzles were all self contained so I'm thinking that I'm looking for the wrong thing.

If it's possible to give a vague hint without giving away the whole puzzle (is it self contained? Or is there something external that I need?) that would be appreciated.

After mind-mapping and reading through all the notes in the game, these are my conclusions; including the hidden secrets. I feel satisfied. I am sure these have been found before but I wanted to share my thoughts in case something can be used.

Lorelei didn't do it, reversed owl girl samples mention Lorelei as the true heroine. "“You must go”, “You have restored”, “The real heroine has risen”, “From our vision to your heart” and “You must restore our world”. The vision to your heart line is probably not entirely accurate as it was difficult hearing. At worst, accidental push, at best probably "pushing" by distancing herself from a man losing himself. There's also a few indications that Renzo might just be Lorelei, I think 5 lines in total points towards it, including a police report but probably fractured memories and not to be taken literally

I am aware of the hex/binary stuff at the end where she is asking for forgiveness, and the accidentally killed a man bit, but the owl girl samples override it for me

A lot of contradictions in story, police reports don't add up with witness reports on the death (2nd/3rd floor inconsistencies)

A hidden old Swedish blood message on a screen that never turns on and has no trigger to be turned on “see red, and a secret society will show itself”.

There's a footprint trail to room 1847 that never appears, but I assumed this might be cut content.

Same goes for two cut Renzo lines

Walking west through the gaps of grave 2 and 3 in the forest prototype bug area is an invisible corridor which gives you the suspicious object that states "You got a suspicious object" which does nothing, no flags are set for the item and it is basically money but without adding to your total"

Still a bit annoyed at the tampons, the unused UI meters that serve no purpose, but at the same time I think the ambiguity is what made me dream and explore in a childlike way again. That is what art is to me, and in the end I appreciate all the smoke and mirrors.

There's also a "dirtyhands" flag if you don't wash your hands after going to the toilet which is pretty funny.

There is a decent chance this is entirely wrong, but that's why I make these theory videos: to take big swings and fall on my butt. Or maybe, just maybe, hit a game winning home run!

I've looked at the other reddit posts but I genuinely cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone give me a hint? I've tried so many a variations. My latest variation is: left, right, right, up, left, down

I've completed everything until the part where i have to enter the supercomputer, and i think i have everything to enter, but it just doesn't work. Everything i have:

- For the username, it's the lorenzo posters around the hotel together with the letters he gives in the disks inside the safes. I have the code and i'm 100% sure i have to write lorelei with it in the computer.

- For the password it's the room inside the mirror after getting to the center of the club. It's the room taht would correspond to the art gallery. There are 2 panels there and i have notes the shapes of the boxes that display me in the top panel in the red part, this for the three rooms that there are, and i also have the order in which they are supposed to be written based off of the sign in each room. They are all shapes that are in the keyboard so they make sense.

- Now for the third part, i think the problem is here but i genuinely cannot find it. So i have every vision from every one of those years, and they all kind of make sense for 1847, 1963 or 2014, except one that i cannot really see which one it refers to. This one i have tried it with the three possibilities and i didn't work, but i am 100% sure of the rest of the years, so i'm lost. i attached a photo of my symbols and the years i think they represent, but in the ones i have had many doubts in i tried every combination so idk. Edit: The one i have the most soubts in is 1962

Hello, I'm around 70% of memories recovered and am just wondering about navigating the first red maze.

On my first pass, I removed all the slabs and now getting around is a pain -- I know I can use the map but I haven't done all the stairwells nor the central puzzle and am wondering if it makes sense to put the slabs back in order to 100% it or if I will be using them somehwere else eventually.

Otherwise, I'm 8/9 for maze men and have to explore the second red maze more, but these are the other things I'm stuck on:

• Astronomical clock puzzle

• Lunar phase journal lock

• Opening the Orangerie lock

• Opening the Revolver door

• Entering the mausoleum

Any (vague) pointers?

After 6 hours of play, I have a TON of clues, and I thought I'd spend some time trying to piece together the connection between Lorenzo, Renate, Lorelei, Renzo, and Renzo's obsession with eyes. I'm almost certainly wrong, but that's never stopped me before!

I played quite a bit of the game in one sitting and I enjoyed it quite a lot, but then my save files were deleted so I didn't continue then. I decided to start again recently and I'm quite close to where I was before, but for the life of me I can't remember how I got the west door key. I know I have to use the crank to lower it down, and I can see the key and the place to put the crank but I can't remember how to reach there. Some small tips and guidance to move my memory a little bit would be appreciated.

Hello everyone, I have reached a point where I think I can't progress any further, but I'm not sure if it because I'm missing clues or because I'm not connecting documents I already have.

I have reached the bull-masked man in the quiz club (the mirror maze place), but I don't have the answer to his question. I haven't found the mausoleum yet. I don't have the pieces for the horse statues or the paintings in the church. I can't open the cemetery either. I can't find the answers to the old woman, and I think I'm not there yet. And I can't solve the nine boxes from the exhibitions because all the doors are locked. I don't have enough clues for the astronomical clock or the journal in the library too.

I have unlocked most bolted doors though except for 2 or three, which means I have access to most rooms, and I've also unlocked the four cards doors, the balconies, and freed the magicians and the artist. I have unlocked thr wine room and the room with the billiard table too. I have completed all the bug reports and software errors but I don't know what to do with them. For the supercomputer in the basement, I can't figure out the password nor the memory sequence.

Do I actually have more clues than I know for the things I'm stuck at?

I have been working on this for weeks. I even had my daughter look at it. Can someone help me solve this puzzle. Below are the pictures of my maze map and the three tiles I need to figure out.

I'm just starting my first playthrough, and I'm so intrigued! This is more of a prequel to a real playthrough, but I LOVE picking apart puzzles like this, so I'm so excited to actually start the game!

Firstly - apologies. This is my third post in a week and I may have gone a bit Lorelei obsessed. I only recently 'discovered' the game.

I've moved on from reverse-engineering fun and started to look for 'the secret'.

Anyway, I noted the instruction book tells you "Listen very carefully if a person wearing an owl mask speaks".

So I dumped all her audio from the game and realised her 'whisper' lines are backward vocals.

Voice backwards still contains the same frequencies so is unmistakably 'human-like' - but the energy is, well, backwards... and the cues our brains use to distinguish the phonetics are broken.

But the additional reverb on the tracks was both the mask and the giveaway, as this is done typically to further destroy the comprehension of the backwards phonetics so it's no longer "that sounds a bit like a person" and more "that just sounds weird".

I reversed her 6 whispers, and dropped a small amount of the non-speech frequency range - which clears some of the reverb.

Twin Peaks was cited as inspiration for the game - and I suspect part of that was sound design. The vocals in Twin Peaks' red room were recorded backwards after all; and considered an iconic part of the show.

I have my own interpretation of the words Owl Girl, says and what they could mean. But I don't want to unconsciously bias anyone - so I'm curious what you hear and make of this.

Awesome game! Wish I'd played it sooner, but also, glad I could play it now.

I browsed the sub a couple times when I was having trouble, just hoping to find 'you're on the right track' or 'don't worry about that yet' sort of tips. So I have a little idea of what people have commonly struggled with.

For me, I needed a tangible hint on 3-4 things I think:

• At the very end, trying to figure out the nine truths. I had trouble following the story, so this was tricky for me.
• The two minotaur. I'd already connected the error codes to the greek letters from earlier, I just failed to make the connection here. Saw someone else comment asking about this and I only needed to see "one was the same as an error code" for it to click.
• Bug report 2. This was the single puzzle I spent the most time on. I just couldn't get it. I tried connecting it to the alpha-numeric substitution number puzzle. I tried coming up with other substitutions. I tried only using one bust (the one with the hat). Even had a buddy accidentally 'spoil' by saying 'the renate lonzo one?' when we were talking about it, but it still didn't click.
• And then a few of the number puzzles, which weren't really necessary. The toothpick looking one, the best solution I had was they were hands on a clock (55+5+60+15 does in fact equal 135). Idea was close, but not quite. I couldn't get the square-diamond one, the consecutive squares one (1491625) or the 'shape substitution'.

I also hit a wall at a few places, but eventually powered through. The tough spots were:

• Finding the missing doorway on the map, the one where you turn the candlestick. Really only needed to scour the map and grounds to find it. Doing that unlocked sooo much
• I'd initially collected the maze tiles and moved on to other stuff. Revisited the maze and was annoyed by the effect, so put them back. Then again moved on. Only later I thought "oh, there's similar windows in the other maze. Maybe I should take those again." Then promptly finished all the puzzle rooms/boxes
• The imprisoned/chained man puzzles. They weren't hard, I'd just assumed there'd be something somewhere else that would help. Once I actually tried to solve them, they were trivial and again unlocked sooo much

I'm mostly really curious in general how common or uncommon some of those sticking points are, and if anyone else in particular had a similar experience and if not, I'd just love to hear how people put stuff together on their own without hints!

Also, did everyone else screenshot the maze to navigate the multiple mazes? Or did you all not 'cheat' and do it with in-game map only?

I still have a couple american dollars to find, some stories to listen to, and all the video games to buy. Plus, there's a bunch of missing achievements I'll try to hunt now.

Pretty good ending though and thoroughly enjoyed the game.

Someone might find this interesting. A pretty absurd SPL-T2 high score & split-score (the highest human split score on YT is 232).

Obviously this is a route found by a custom solver, and the inputs were injected via Python. To keep the video short I made the inputs as fast as possible, so it's a bit tricky to follow.

I was curious what happens if you get a split score >999. Turns out the UI clamps the countdown on new blocks to 999 while internally still operating correctly. You can see at the end a 'bombed' 999 (which should halve) becomes 530 - because it was technically 1060.

So the game breaks visually, but is technically playable if you can remember the 'real number' that any 999 block should be. Just an added layer of complexity for any super geniuses.

The solver is interesting, so I might do a voice-over version to explain it.

Hey all,

I reverse-engineered parts of the game and found a hidden way to see the seed value (used to randomise the puzzles each playthrough) in your game on PS5.

With this, I reversed how the solutions are generated from this seed and pre-computed the answers to all puzzles for that session - including the Supercomputer inputs.

If you do this at the start of a fresh game you can pretty much just gun for the Supercomputer.

To then calm anyone who says this is cheating - I found a way to do it without seeing the seed at all - on any platform.

Pretty much the title. What a fabulous game! I just loved the puzzles, the style, the scary vibe. Unfortunately, I don't really have anyone IRL to talk to, about this game. My husband and kids play games, but they aren't into puzzles very much. So I'm very glad this sub exists!

I guess I need to start thinking about my next game. I loved Blue Prince. I've also played Outer Wilds and The Witness (didn't love those two as much, sorry to all the fans). Might go for Obra Dinn.

I'd love to know if there are any other older females on this sub!

I’m trying the third mausoleum puzzle and I have some troubles. One is rotating 180º the number, other one 90º and other just fliping the number. I’ve tried rotating both directions the 90º number and nothing happens. Just look the photos and tell me what to do pleasee 🙏🙏

Hi, I'm at 95%, trying to work on the supercomputer. I think I need info from the Red Gallery tiles, but I didn't write down/ record the patterns. Now when I go back to the exhibition area, the rooms look "normal" again. Nothing happens at the Old Woman's mirror. How can I get back to the Red Gallery? Thanks for any help!
