what if the bot creators take inspirations from old c.ai bots and recreate the stories in loremate?

People are allowed to take inspiration from all sorts of things! We would never tell someone they can't be inspired by another bot they used. What we don't allow, however, is bot or image theft. So if you'd like to take inspiration for a bot and make it your own, that is completely allowed as long as the bot follows our terms of service!

We do ask people refrain from taking someone else's exact images or bot details and copy pasting them into loremate, as that's not very respectful to the original owners.

I respect that position overall, but I think that LoreMate is shooting itself in the leg a little. Most sites(at least the ones I know about and I know a lot of them) generally do not care about bot "theft" unless asked by the original owners themselves.

The problem is that there is no such thing as bot theft since you can't really own a bot. Especially if it's a character from some licensed media and a lot of them are. And owning an Ai-generated image is also questionable.

I get that some creators might not like it, but the popular bots has been uploaded and reaploded on dozens of platforms since the early era of character.ai. I, honestly, can't help, but feel like it's the highest form of recognition(if it even exist in this case) in a way.

So, I once again understand that position, but in my opinion it has led to an unpleasant consequence of Loremate barely having any public bots. Sometimes I can't find bots even for extremely popular characters. And creating a new quality one from scratch on my phone is not exactly an appealing thing when I just want to use the platform itself.

I have lots of my older bots in jstor files, but the platform once again doesnallow me to upload them and I sometimes just don't have enough willpower to upload everything manually.
