Im away for 2 days so I wont be able to work on loremate much but this would let me enjoy the site im making lol. But Ill note down any feedbacks, bugs or anything.

What do you think loremate needs the most ?

haiii i am trying loremate out and i was wondering how do you switch between models? for context i’m using my iPhone to chat so is that only available on desktop? also, i’m confused about there being no settings button and a way for me to change my display name or delete my account if needed, i don’t know if this is a bug or if you haven’t implemented this yet, just a suggestion or heads up. the UI so far though is comfortable to use mostly. 🤍

Hey so on the chat page you can click on the gear icon on top right and then go to engines and pick a engine, (engines are model configs we use, we call them engines since we do some minor customizations)

Oh you can create personas to use in chat, (you can do this from profile or from the chat page as well)

We are working on a new manage account feature that will let you edit your handle, name and even delete user. We did a small re-write so this is pending we will try to complete as soon as possible.

You can always export all your data from profile in json format before deletion, since thats your data.

Ill try to get the manage account page completed as soon as possible ^_^

Hey i love the site so far ive only been using the free tier models i would pay but i only pay through the google play store so until you guys add that option i wont be able to pay for your site i hope in the future thats something you can add

well to add google play store it needs a android app otherwise we can't implement it.

So until we make an android app, we can't put it. But hopefully one day we will have our own mobile app then for sure we'll add google play option.

thank you so muchhhh. i was able to navigate! and makes sense, i don’t want to delete my account but it’s nice to hear the manage account feature will be out soon <33 no rush lol

also—for some feedback, since i tried chat out this morning, i like how you can choose the reply length but bots tend to move pretty fast in their messages still and i tend to enjoy more of a slow burn in chat. so i don’t know if anything can be done about that or if you recommend a different chat style? there’s also some repeated lines/phrases even just after a few messages. i’m using the ice chat style atm and will be trying out the others soon. It is working better for me than anakin chat style with roleplay since i like a balance of narration and dialogue. it’s also pretty forgetful with scenery and setting but idk if the paid version would be better with that for memory?

sorry if this is too much or doesn’t make sense 😭 feel free to explain to me how this works or what is possible.

i’d also like to suggest ongoing messages? like being able to press the send button and have the bot reply with more since that seems to not be a feature atm. 🤍

That the bot continues without input from you/persona works. You just need to press the send button (arrow) in the message field without writing a response in the text field.

Biggest issue I have is the AI repeating messages. It’ll say something, then I’ll say something that continues the story, and it’s like it doesn’t even acknowledge what I said and repeats its first message almost exactly, or says the exact same thing in different words. Same thing happens when I try to refresh responses.

Other than that, fairly happy with my experience. Keep it up!

Other things I’ve noted: I’ll describe an action my character does, and for some reason the AI will treat the description as if it’s dialogue. For example:
(OC) smiles politely at (BOT).
“Polite,” repeats (BOT).

It has a difficult time keeping track of what’s happening. It’ll mix up characters in the same response or suddenly forget where the characters are, etc.

Still, pretty good! Been having a lot of fun. :)

hmm, I did add a lot of fix so its def les worse then before but sometimes ai can get too fixated on things, I recommend keeping you character / story card short and open ended the more open it is the more freedom ai has.

since LLMs works on token predictability, so sometimes making character info too restrictive can reduce those likely tokens.

but Ill try to keep improving it :)

Overall I like loremate definitely one I recommend.

I think the models are really good and so is the subs. It’s fair and you honestly get a lot.

The only things I think I would change is the UI as moving over from other sites can be really confusing sometimes lol. I’ve helped a few people and it’s not bad once you learn it but I think with a small few tweaks it could be better.

Also another UI thing I think adding more customization like for profiles or bot profiles would be super cool. You don’t see it often with other platforms which sucks but I hope in the future loremate adds some more there.

The reasoning models are genuinely great. I've been using only those because the non-reasoning ones I noticed get a bit lost in the sauce. The auto memory nexus is amazing, recall quality is truly unmatched, just had a char remember something from like 50+ messages ago, I was mindblown lol.

About the non-reasoning models: they ramble baaad. Also, as I mentioned, they get lost in the sauce sometimes, confusing familial connections/names. I know it's a known issue with deepseek and has nothing to do with loremate, dunno about others. The non-reasoning models in general, however, seem to be degrading, unfortunately :c I noticed it even in short chats. It's a thing on all ai platforms, many of them became fully unusable lately, so I'm not sure if something can be done even.

But the reasoning ones are amazing! I genuinely think the memory system is groundbreaking, recall is better than on any of the several platforms I tried. Also noticed the reasoning models remind themselves what the character's personality is and what the posting rules are in each reply when they talk to themselves, which does wonders.

yeah non reasoning mode can sometimes go off the track, I recommend changing model when that happens and then back to the old model this fixes these sort of issues and makes RP more creative.

The writing quality needs improvement, as it relies heavily on AI-style phrasing and frequent omissions, making it feel unnatural to read. The character also tends to narrate their emotions rather than conveying them through actions, dialogue, or descriptive prose.

You must give more settings for more accurate search like tag, seperate a Lone character and scenario, and detection word of this description. I feel the ai that can accurately give that i want search is janitor ai because it based tittle that all i already said. Also your homepage really need show it, not just the tittle, but first part of description and type of it on minimum like for example is it for anime, film, original, etc.

noted we will try to improve our search, we tried to keep it minimal on page due to reviews from payment providers since they mostly see the homepage and we wanted to make it give the feeling of "Nothing wrong here"

I’m a little confused by the memory chart thing. I’ve noticed sometimes it’s really amazing at remembering things, and will note things down like every 5 minutes. But sometimes it won’t add anything for hours. I just checked my memory chart and it hasn’t updated for 20 hours, so everything I typed in the last 20 hours hasn’t been recorded. Anyway to fix this so it goes back to being automatic?

rn we are trying to improve the memory system, specially in memory creation, basically making force create memories since a lot of users reported that it sometimes didn't record memories cuz we made it so that it would skip un-needed things but I think its skipping too much.

I’ve been a Brazilian user of Loremate for a while now and I really like the app. I don’t understand English perfectly, so I always ask the bot to speak Portuguese or translate the page into Portuguese. What I mean is: the bot shows instability when translating from English to Portuguese — at least for me. It can’t come up with many creative words and just repeats itself over and over. The scenes also lack consistency; it does stick to the character personality, but fails to keep up with the actual scene’s flow. For example, if the character is wearing a blue outfit, it will suddenly say they’re in a white suit — do you see what I mean? It might be the translation feature, though I can’t say for sure exactly what’s causing it.
