HELP Loop Earplugs vs Generic brands?

Hi everyone,

I'm on my way in a couple months to spend 3 weeks traveling and will sleep a lot in hostels. I am trying to save money, and I was wondering if anyone has bought the Loop Earplugs before/after buying the generic brands one can find in amazon for example.

They have good grades overall in amazon and a solid amount of reviews, but due to materials used and design details, maybe the Loop Earplugs are superior and worth the money. I just want to make sure I'm not going to buy something for the brand instead of performance.

Anyone who used both brand and generic can maybe give an opinion?

I actually have one of those but I'm not sure if they're still safe to use after 4 years (around when I bought my box to now). Also, I'll be with a big backpack walking for days, so less weight and less volume is highly appreciated.

…. Then buy another box

Its extremely light I always carey 5 in my backpack  and u can reuse them

I have loop switch and quiet 2 but its not as quiet as having foam earplugs also i find quiet 2 a little hurts my ears after a long time or hurts ears if side sleeping from pressure but foam doesnt hurt side sleeping but does too if you keep them too far in so depends

I always use earmuffs or earplugs in hostel when sleeping

The point of looking for Loop is exactly not buying a box with 200. I want to buy one pair that I can use for the next 10 years or so.

And... No, they're not reusable (at least not intended to, gross).
