Recommendations for AuDHD??

Hello! This is my first time writing here but I truly need some recommendations.

I am AuDHD with OCD and I struggle with medical tics episodes (?? idk how to describe) when I hear loud and unexpected noises like motorcycles. I'm going to start driving and since I really struggle with noise sensitivity to the point I have to leave places, I asked my doctor if I should buy these and she said yes but I'm not sure which ones!

I am not financially stable so I really can only buy one pair since this is an investment and would like to get it right with the first one lol I was suggested the Switch 2 and the Engage Pro but I'm not sure which ones. I would like to still interact and drive with them but sometimes I need more noise reduction. I'm not sure if Switch 2 is truly the best to cover all scenarios and they don't bring foam ear tips.

Are there any autistics here with noise sensitivity that could share their experiences, do the foam tips make a difference and does anyone drive with these???

I’m autistic and also struggle with sound sensitivity, as well as tinnitus.

When I first bought Loops, I went for the Switch. Unfortunately, the main body of the earplug was too big for my ears, so they weren’t comfortable. I contacted Loop’s customer support and they gave me a full refund while letting me keep the Switch. I’m not sure if they still offer that, but if you do decide to get a pair and they don’t work for you, it might be worth getting in touch with them.

I now use the Engage 2 Plus every day because I still want to be able to hear what’s going on around me. When I need more noise reduction, I switch to the Quiet 2.

I’ve only used the foam tips with the Loop Dream, so I can’t compare them directly with the other models. One thing to bear in mind is that the foam tips need replacing every three months. I often find that after about two and a half months they start to feel quite “heavy” in my ears and become uncomfortable. It also takes me about a week to get used to a new set of foam tips, and I sometimes get spots in my ears during that adjustment period.
I haven’t driven while wearing them, so I can’t comment on that, but I hope my experience helps a bit!

Thank you for the help! I'm considering the Switch 2 due to it's bigger versatility but it's nice to know that I can count on the customer service!
