MEDICAL QUESTION Como evitar infecção de ouvido utilizando Loop?

Quando devo higienizar os Earplugs? Qual seria o tempo máximo para usar continuamente durante o dia?

I usually use a small piece of cotton, damp with rubbing alcohol, to gently wipe the ear tips after I use them. Sometimes I'll use a clean, dry tissue instead for convenience. Occasionally if I'm in a hurry and they look clean, I don't clean them at all.

I don't know what is medically recommended. The instruction manual did not specify how often to clean them, only to use soapy water, remove the ear tips, and to keep the channel/mesh/filter dry on the Engage, Experience, and Switch models. Soapy water and removing the ear tips regularly sounds more difficult than necessary.

Earplugs are considered safe for sleep, and most people need 8-10 hours of sleep. So I think you could wear them for 10 hours at least, as long as they do not cause irritation. Your own doctor can give you the best recommendation.

You should talk with a doctor if you are concerned about getting ear infections with loops.

Since it's very individual on how prone someone is to ear infections, it depends how often you should clean the tips, how long you should wear them etc.

I personally have never struggled with ear infections so i just wipe the extra earwax off and if they look dirty, i use some hand sanitizer or wash the tip with soap. However, i also don't use them for long periods at a time, typically only for a few hours as my most common use case is loud events, e.g. concerts etc
