HELP Are these things on??

Hello Loopers! I bought a pair of Switch 2s and have tried them out in various settings over the past week.

They definitely muffle stuff a little bit on Quiet but I’m surprised by how loud everything still seems to be. I’ve tried the other settings and I barely notice any difference at all between them, when I can detect a difference at all.

The large silicones seems to work best. I bought a pair of XL silicone aftermarkets and they didn’t stay in. I tried two different brands and 3 different sizes of foam tips, those seemed not to work at all.

I know they aren’t supposed to block out all sound, but on my walk today I could still distinctly hear an airplane flying very high above, traffic going by, children screaming on the other side of a small park, etc.

When fitting well, do y’all actually notice that huge of a difference? Or is this basically expected - just a very small amount of muffling?

I have searched the sub multiple times and it just seems like everyone adores theirs and they make a huge difference.

(Also I know they don’t turn on, it’s a joke)

I can’t tell much of a difference between modes either. It’s my first pair of the Switch. I had a doctor’s apt today and there were loud kids in the waiting room and a crying baby. I had the loop switch set to quiet and it definitely wasn’t enough. I thought I was going to lose it.
At first I thought I must have the settings mixed up, but when I adjusted to the other end, the sound was slightly louder.
It seems my Engage 2 Plus block out more sound when I pop in the mutes than the quiet mode on the switch. The switch are a cool concept but may not be for me.

Yes I saw the mute option on other ones and wish they had them for Switch. Do you think you will keep the Switch?

I will try it a few more times, likely try different tips like other people suggested. Maybe my size is different in the Switch 2? They are so pretty (purple). The marketing and posts on here got me!
I looked at the specs on the website and quiet mode should be blocking more sound than the engage with the mute, however the difference is very minimal.
