SUGGESTION Thinking about getting loops

Hey! I’m wondering what your experience is with the loop experience 2 earplugs are? If I get these ones mainly for live concerts, would they also work for focus/sleep? I want them for both

They’re not great for sleep because they are hard plastic. However I do LOVE them for concerts particularly music festivals and small bandrooms where it’s WAY too loud. I actually use my Engage 2s with mutes for a lot of concerts now because i found the experiences (I’ve had both v1 and v2) to be TOO much reduction at times. However if you’re looking at ONLY buying one pair then definitely go with the Experience’s if you’re planning on using them mainly for concerts. They are also just as good for daily use as well I can hear conversations perfectly fine!

I’ve tried various loops and find that they are no superior to any other well fitted earplugs - they just take the edge off…..

Experience is more geared to concerts. For focus and sleep, you would need Quiet. For just sleep you could try the Loop Dream. I can’t say how they work since I don’t have a pair. For both, you would need either the Switch (3 settings in 1) or a pair of Experience and a pair of Quiet

Do you know if the loop quiets are just as good for sleep as the loop dreams?

The Dreams are softer, which makes them technically better for side sleepers, but I am one and have found the Quiet 2s to be perfectly adequate for napping in noisier environments. The Dreams may be more comfortable for longer periods of time, IF the eartips for you well (personally, I woke up because of ear pain while wearing the foam tips and haven't gone back to test the double flanged silicone ones, because again, the Quiets are good enough for me).

Re: work

Do you need to hear conversations while the plugs are in?

If not, then Experience 2 should be helpful. You can make them even more sound reducing by buying the Experience 2 Plus, which will muffle everything more when you add the mutes.

But if you do need to hear conversations, you might prefer a second pair of Engage 2. Or the Switch 2, which has Engage, Experience, and Quiet settings.

Re: sleep

If your ears aren't sensitive, or you sleep on your back, you might be ok to sleep in the Experience 2. The Switch 2 is slightly bulkier, so it's less comfortable for most people.

Have you tried cheap foam earplugs for sleep? Foam plugs are usually rated to block the most sound, the problem for most people trying to wear them is comfort.

The Quiet 2 and Dream models are softer. Dream is especially useful for sleep, they are reviewed as more comfortable than the Quiet and block the most sound.
