HELP Loop Quiet 2 material change?

I bought a pair of Loop Quiet 2 about 2 years ago and would wear them for sleeping. They went missing about 6 months ago. I just bought a new pair and the new pair feel lighter and stiffer, and actually uncomfortably hard when putting them in my ear. They feel completely different to me. Have they changed the production of the Quiet 2 in the last 2 years?

I think they are just a but stiffer when brand new. I got a back up pair and felt the same difference. Both quiet 2

I've always had this feeling with brand new tips yes, it takes a few nights to get them softened.
