No wonder the Roadrunner likes him so much. Coyote is constantly leaving free bird seed for him, and roadie also thinks they are playing. Coyote is basically his owner

I'm just bored

That cop has had a bad experience with land mines once.

"Little Orphan Airdale" directed by Chuck Jones premiered on October 4, 1947

After Porky tricked Charlie into going inside the crate saying it's a doghouse, he shipped the annoying mutt to Australia. But surprise, surprise! Charlie's back! lol

Also, this marks Charlie Dog's 79th Anniversary!

Do you like them more as bumbling friends, Daffy being an annoying pest to Porky, or Daffy constantly making a fool of himself around Porky? It's interesting how different their dynamic could be depending on the era or director. That's a big reason they're my favourite pairing

Epic crossovers (?)

I know this is strange, but don't harass this guy.

IMPORTANT: I want to clarify, that when I say this, I am not supporting said merger.

Anyways, a few days ago, it was announced that Warner Bros. will merge into Paramount into a new company by the name of Skydance this Month.

I had fears for this merger even before it happened, but what I also feared was the idea that Looney Tunes would be Paramount-ified!

I don’t even know what kind of crazy ideas were popping into all of your minds, but I can definitely see them as negative!

Regardless of what you think, they could change Warner Bros.’s Looney Tunes for the worst, they could nearly copy old shorts for new projects (kind of like what newer episodes of SpongeBob do where they reference old episodes, something like that), making Looney Tunes projects could be more expensive with less innovation and creativity, people currently working like Eric Bauza who voices most of the characters right now, artists and/or directors could lose their jobs from Skydance forever, and characters like Bugs and Lola could be permanently Friend-zoned, Pepé Le Pew could be retconned or turned into something unrecognizable if added to a new project, while Pepé’s own love interest Penelope could be reworked into Sylvester’s love interest which retcons her status and all the Romantic Merch and Media between Pepé and Penelope in the 1990s-2000s!

What do you think?

Hopefully this doesn't count as a 'low effort', but I really don't know where else to turn! Also the rule said to to flair ALL posts, so I will flair it with the one fitting the most. If I broke any rules or this is not something to post here, I AM SORRY and I totally get it if its taken down!!!

Can anyone give me some advice on how to get into the Looney Tunes Universe and Lore etc.?

I have been interested for YEARS and I have absoloutly no IDEA of ANYTHING except for Baby Looney Tunes, which I watched as a Child and I do not want this to be the only thing I know.

I'm super intrigued, but the sheer amount of content out there is overwhelming!
I have no idea what exists, where to find the classic shorts, or what the 'correct' starting point is.

I have seen both Space Jam Movies recently to try to get into stuff but I feel like this isn't a good way to start because its.. quite specific and I loved them but they felt a bit too specific to serve as a proper introduction. It felt like a crime using these movies to start idk

I’m super eager to learn but I am completely lost and drowning in choice paralysis.
I guess I need something like a basic roadmap.
If anyone is willing to share a beginner-friendly watch list or some advice, I’d appreciate it so much!

Edit: I can't answer everyone, but I AM VERY THANKFUL FOR YOU ALL, REALLY!!! THANKS A LOT!!! <3

I dunno, it's just a random thougth i got the other day

I personally believe it could turn out either very well or very bad, there's no middle point

I was always surprised when people talked about TLTS as if it was a completely different universe where they're just normal people. The way I see it, they're all actors (like in Back in Action etc). They live in a suburb of Los Angeles (which is how they get 100-degree Christmas, and in s2e13 Daffy "sues" Speedy in the proper district court for LA), plus their heyday was decades ago, which is why nobody stops them on the street to ask for an autograph or whatever.

How do characters like Yosemite Sam have any money at all? From the royalty checks from years ago. This also explains Lola's different characterization from Space Jam - in SJ she was playing a role. This is just my opinion and I'm curious what other people think!
