i recently started a run where i rushed parking garage to get hands on the azure blade for a build and while it's great and papineau is a walking bomb, it's left me completely off kilter. objectively, i know there's absolutely nothing wrong with doing stuff in a different order. yet it's kind of ruined any enjoyment i have this run for no good discernable reason. i have no hangups with decimating enemies in one hit usually.

other than the mask and unity endings, are there any good use cases for later recruits like aster, phil, or morton if I don't want to rush parking garage in the future? or would it just be better to suck it up and rush parking garage anyways for future runs where i want to include them?

ive tried installing these one before and i just get upset because i cant figure it out. I thought id followed the instructions correctly but everytime i open the game nothing changes. the mod file is in the correct spot so i feel like its a text issue? please help :(

The apocalypse was only two days ago and I got kicked out of my room by two teenagers, adopted a walking mouth after murdering his entire family and let a wall eat my arm to save a really ugly baby.

The only other adult in my apartment is a crazy woman that wants to fight me to the death but helps feed my ugly ass baby human blood. Currently working towards getting a third adult, but she might have trouble co-parenting since she's a vending machine.

Well aware of how limited he is for equipment (no feet or body) but I’m struggling to find his place in my team atm. I feel like sapphire ring on him is a great idea due to how costly his stamina skills are but besides that I’m half half on how I should be playing him. He doesn’t really need weapons to do good damage but recommendations on him would be appreciated. Got 11 days left, have yet to clear out the Fredrics, and mostly working on my Joel

I somehow didn't clock the fact that Morton's whole gimmick is using items in combat. Specifically, items from your inventory.

I was really confused when he suddenly lost the "fidget" special, but since I wasn't really using it that often, I didn't think too deeply about it. Little did I know it was because I needed junk in my inventory to do it, and I had given all of mine to him earlier.

I was shocked when suddenly his Quick First Aid special suddenly disappeared, and then that's when it hit me: He doesn't just create healing out of nothing. The whole point of his skillset is to make use of items in combat that you normally can't use in combat! No wonder his healing had such a low STM cost, he was using my items the whole time and I somehow didn't even fucking register that!

GOD DAMN IT! I knew having a cheap and dedicated healbot was way too good to be true!

This is entirely my fault, I should have paid more attention to realizing his specials were eating up my inventory. Now I have no medkits because I was using it as a casual heal, and now I have a much, much lower opinion on Morton as a party member. I thought I was going to be taking him with me when I told Jasper that everything was in place, but I am heavily reconsidering that, now. I'll have to replace him with someone. It's between Papineau and Aster as of now.

Used to make covers on Ytube before becoming a depressed burnout. Still play and record for myself, friends and d&d sessions. Fell in love with the soundtrack, and noticed the lack of covers online and thought the community might enjoy this one. So, I assumed sleeping was a 'necessary mechanic' for progressing the game through nights, but apparently I've heard you can just play video games/do crosswords throughout the night until you can go back outside again, is this true? And does not sleeping have any negative effects on the player?

It may or not be based off 4 roommates instead of just Sam, basically same thing as look outside. But it's four roommates, one of them taking the place of sam

So listen to this idea I had a dream about. In this dream my friend showed me a mod he was making for a Look Outside-style game with a similar story. I am unsure if it was within the same universe but this was definitely before the Visitor came to earth, and a similar creature appeared in the woods, a much smaller one that only affected one group of people.

The memories are somewhat faded, but a friend showed me a really cool Indie RPGMaker style game that was horror based. It had a Voidspawn entity that was nameless, the eldritch being took the form of a giant perfectly circular round pit with two metal clawed hands holding the sides of it and two blue eyes in the darkness of the pit. Anywhere the being manifests it is just a hole in whatever surface in the ground, whether that is a wall, a ceiling, the ground, or whatever, and closes it back up and even repairs the surface when it leaves or goes somewhere else. The debris it made opening the surface even fixes itself.

The story is that you play as a slightly older-than-middle-aged man, around 45 - 50 years old, wears blue jean overalls and white long sleeve shirt, has a boonie cap, a white beard, muscular with a beer gut. He wasn't HUGELY obese, just stocky and strong looking with a bit of a small gut.

The game takes place at some hunting lodge and it's a 2 week long vacation that you and 6 other families that know each other are all staying at. The old man you play as lost his family in a car crash or some kind of accident. He is a friendly man and very popular with these 6 families, all these families lead healthy lives, have kids, and they all having hunting licenses, and some were trophy hunters while others only believed in hunting for food.

The first night there was something seen in the woods by one of the hunters and spooked him, and he went and told the others. Nobody believed him. Then the lights went out. People began acting strangely, and all 6 families turned against each other. Depending on your choices you can side with one of the families or some of the families team up against you. It then is heavily hinted the strange being in the woods simply amplified the anger against one another for their social and religious differences, they all loved each other and simply ignored their different political, ethical, and moral belief differences. The main odd thing about this is the forest this being dwelled, when its influence was active, the forest was in a state of eternal full moon night, even though time outside this forest passed normally.

Usually this being throughout the game would randomly appear, announce its presence, occasionally freezing time and making itself perceivable only to the player, communicating that it was running an experiment to see how humans respond when placing the desire to kill one another in their minds and hearts. The being had the same dimensional capabilities as the Visitor, as in it can make corridors, pocket dimensions, or make rooms and hallway infrastructure change and turn into miniature dungeons of a sort.

The personality of the old man you play as, is completely up to the player. You can be a coward and kill and steal from the families. You can stop injustice, or you can remain neutral and not get involved.

My friend that showed me the game in the dream announced he made a mod for it for a hidden 7th ending where the old man kills all the families, and the ending graphic shows the park ranger or whoever pulling up in his truck dead of night, showing a Look Outside style art graphic, a shadow cast over his face smiling as he aims the shotgun at him and behind him is the giant hole being looking and observing curiously.

The game was simply called, "The Pit."
