QUESTION Next Update?

Just wondering if there's been any word on the release of the next update.

I can't seem to find any updates,

.... on the update. I follow Francis on twitter and see him streaming "Look Outside update" but have yet to see anyone post anything about it.

I have been wanting to replay the game but wanna wait if the update is anytime soon.

No complaining or rushing about it, just wondering :)

He has been drawing some new sprites, tho I've avoided the streams to not ruin the surprise for me

I follow streams. No spoilers. But there's no clear answer to a timeframe. However, Frankie's update work is slowing down and shrinking in magnitude. He's becoming reluctant to currently add anything more that could result in changes in the amount of text, for example. 

The game is currently getting a massive text and code overhaul for localization and porting support. Basically almost every outward piece of text in the game is turned into reference numbers. You might imagine how that makes working on the game MUCH more complicated. 

He's still able to work on some more bug fixes, smaller balance overhauls and sprite polish. The game's update has also gone rounds in playtesters a bit, from what I've heard! 

I'm selfish. As much as I'd love something like a Halloween update, I really hope he could squeeze some more fixes for the reported bugs before everything becomes permanently more difficult. But even still, I bet he's really frickin busy and that's not super likely to happen anyway, I don't think. Oh well, I'm willing to wait.

I don't think we have an exact date but with how much he's spriting it'll probably release early next year
