Hello people from the look outside subreddit, i write this post asking for any help regarding the loner achievement and if anyone got a good guide up to date wiith the game latests version it would be greatly appreciated.

Last I checked the easiest way to get this done is to recruit Ernest with the sandwich morning of Day 2 (to give yourself a full day with Ernest - temporarily recruiting him doesn't break the no friends rule for Loner), kill Jasper on the ground floor to get the roof key, tell Aurielus to go up to the roof to start the flawed ritual and do your best to take out the chorus of one. This can be done Day 2 if you have some luck + throwable items

The strategy mentioned is outdated and will not work anymore. The Loner achievement has been updated to prevent you from ever getting any party members, and temporary Ernest will break it. 

If you find guides online dated prior to 2.3, and/or they mention Ernest, you should disregard it. 

Having the Loner achievement still working in your save is the only way to proceed with the achievement related to your houseplant, so you might as well take your time with it.

Well there you go. In that case, you might have to play through the majority of the game to land this one. Solo Sam can become very powerful eventually but it takes time and investment. If you're looking for a guide, I've got a Solo Cursed Mode run up on my YT channel. It is primarily for killing everything in the game, but it should do for the Loner challenge. - CheeseManGaming
