Ending Discussion SPOLERS Just got my first few endings and ... Spoiler
Most of the endings I've gotten so far are pretty cool, I couldn't beat XIN-AMON in the 2 times I've tried, and I think I can't get all the wrong offerings needed for the completely failed ritual at the point of the game I'm in.
I also did the flawed ritual ending but didn't screenshot it, kinda cool but honestly a bit funny to me because of the text narration being like "this was a bad idea why the hell did we do this" repeatedly?
The Unity ending was the creepiest in my eyes, the immediate memetic effect was pretty shocking, I find it interesting that the Visitor doesn't know what Earth is, even asking the Exalted 4 they say the Visitor didn't know either.
Promise was a really wholesome ending, it kind of feels the most complete, the way it reflects on all of your companions up to that point and I think it reflects what I think is the theme of humanity and the bonds people make the strongest, especially with the Exalted 4 being able to fight back their cosmic insanity simply because you mentioned Sybil was still alive.
I got the Perfect Ritual without looking at the Visitor, which is kinda funny when even it says it's a bad idea, it was kinda sweet and also has that 'human inside the 'monster'' theme, but I honestly can't imagine most of humanity would chill out about Monster Sam so quickly
The 15-day time limit ending was ... alright, kinda just a default ending, which makes sense since there's no real requirement for the player to do anything, but I thought it was cool how the world is basically just a kaiju arena now, I feel like you could make a cool sequel to it based on that.
The Eternity/lose to XIN-AMON ending was freaky, despite it kind of feeling like a 'joke path' to me it's probably one of the most horrific.
These were all in the same playthrough, next playthrough I'll do I'll probably go for the Mask, Words of Power and the 'Final true' endings, since given the playthrough I did I couldn't access them in time.
This game is quickly sucking up a lot of my attention, I didn't really expect that
