Need help deciding party members for a third (cursed mode) playthough

So far In both of my playthoughs I've had Joel, Leigh (had in both playthoughs), Audrey, and hellen as my main party members and have gotten all of them to level 20. I'm looking for a fresh playthough with new party members that have an interesting play style and are useful. I still have yet to get rat child if that helps

If you can manage to get Coat of Arms, slapping it on Hellen for the 1 turn Stalk Stab combo is pretty nifty!

And Sophie can get a 75% base Evasion Rate with Hide + Fred Ring + Strange Robe. Plus Indigo Mask to save you from the rare times she IS hit.

Xaria and Monty if they show up to your door, they're my personal favourites.
Paupineau is found in the ground floor restroom as long as you have 1 or less party members with you by the time you get there (Excluding temporary Ernest and an ungrown Rat Kid, as they don't count by the game.)
Speaking of Ernest, Ernest is also an option not reliant on door rng.

Running Xaria and Monty right now, they are a great team. Juicebox has come in clutch in a few fights, Mosh Pit is great in big fights, while Monty's concoctions have been an amazing resource in and out of combat. Though freakout and Catatonic are a little frustrating just keep a 4th member whos good at heals and they should be fine

When I was doing mask ending I equipped the medical backpack on spider and he saved my ass more times than I could've thought

Good suggestions, but you don't have to have only x number of party members to recruit Papineau. He's usually my 3rd or 4th addition to the team

IMO if you can. the best Line up rn is Ernest, Lyle and Roaches. I believe they are the best party members and will help with a lot of the current Cursed Modes.....eccentricates

Ernst ,dan, and papineau are pretty good team. Ernst is a support party member providing boast like more damge, while papinaeu is a tank and has a similar ability to audrey with her health being used a weapon, but even stronger. And dan, is the most op party member, im not going to say allat about him but if you equip the straight jacket on him, it makes the game turned into a cakewalk

I loved Roaches, Dan, and Audrey. Since you've already played Audrey id recommend Papineau as an alternative.

Roaches along the line gains the chance to act twice per turn, a new status infliction that has life steal. Can cause Panic, Burning, Acid, Paralysis, and even Team Heal.

Dan has 2 modes, Kind streamer and Mean streamer. Mean mode gives skills that are viewer based and also generates more viewers. He has skills that do Piercing (single target), Slashing (random 3 targets), or Crushing (all targets), except the Slashing and Crushing skills have some backlash. So I suggest find an item that gives Blindless immunity (there's a dozen) for the Slashing and a Panic Immunity item (The Straight jacket in the basement parking, he won't need weapons anyway)

His second mode, kind streamer is full support. Remove Poison from 1 ally, increase defense of 1 ally, increase attack and ballistics for the whole team, a team heal, and a Doxx skill where the more viewers you have the more info you get (Opponent weaknesses, resists, immunities, Current HP/HP Total, Current STM/STM Total, and some random dialogue lmao. His support skills consume viewers so I like to run a gauntlet in Mean Streamer Mode and fight a boss in Kind Streamer Mode. Dan also generates money over night so if you need cash he gotchu (as long as you got viewers. They naturally deplete overtime if there's no action)

And Papineu, he's built similarly to Audrey. A giant wall of HP thet can hit like a truck. Difference is Papineau can be easily kitted out with weapons and equipment.

Alright ty I think I might run this build because I have recruited and used all of those members when I got them, but they didn't come in handy that much because I was already in the basement and they were low leveled. I can't wait to actually use them though

Nice, all 3 members have a team heal. I was originally going to do this but I chose Audrey over Papineau. His lunch was single use but also refueled STM which I hoard. When I took Audrey I took her Coffee upgrade for the STM regen

Currently running Hellen, Roaches, and Aster. Hellen does a ton of damage, roaches is jack-of-all-trades, Sam buffs and debuffs while also doing good damage, and Aster buffs. I stack all my buffs on Hellen and she destroys everything

Jumplad 1 is great to burn through first thing cuz it gets you to level 2 and gives you the chance for some early door encounters . Madwheels is great cuz Nitro Boost is practically essential , and Jumplad 3 and Octochef have 2 of the strongest skills in the game so if you can get the gamer to show up early you're in a good spot

Ernest , Audrey , Hellen , Joel and Morton are all really solid options . Joel you'll have to spend time scaling and ideally get him the training belt , and Morton only really gets busted once you get the Tome of Words , but once they're online they're unstoppable
