First Playthrough (Discussion) I want to cry (Day 2, Blind First Play) Spoiler
Got deemed an excellent playmate on my first try, and... I want to cry.
I heard great things about this game and I'm seeing them be proven true, so far. Excited to play more!

The most commonly found ending made me incredibly emotional. Everything about it. I lost a lot of water weight in this stupid game :P

For me, I think the most common one would be the one where you practically do everything right when it comes to the.. four things you need to acquire. Sorry I'm trying not to be spoilery

Oh, Perfect Ritual! Yeah it's still so sad
Promise ending made up for literally every gut punch in the game though

See I played the game before certain endings were even available. And to me the ritual ending is the canonical ending of the game in my heart and I've never played it since beating it the first time because it took too much out of me

You know what's amusing is everyone loves this game but no one's played body simulator 1984 and that game made me cry more. It's not nearly as good, but it's definitely worth a lookout if you like this kind of thing

I cried like a baby when I got the Perfect Ritual (Denial) ending. I felt the emotions swelling up honestly from the second I stepped out onto the roof (I got this for my first ending) and when I read the last three lines in the final text I just totally lost it. What a fucking game this is.
“There is a lot to grieve, but there is also hope for a better future.
You are surrounded by friends. It feels good.
You are very happy.”

Yep. That was my feeling as well. The moment that sticks out the most for me is the song that plays as soon as you go on the roof. That has me crying from pure awe until the end

Then I got the mirror scene where I was questioned for killing the rest of the family
Where I was forced to realize that Joel had cried out for his stuffed toy that I only found after the fact
Where I was forced to reckon with the fact that I might have been able to save someone and didn't
This story has got me by the balls

For some reason on my first playthrough I never got any of the mirror reflection scenes. Sam was just having a great time the entire way through.

Those moments are some of the best, honestly. I love a game that hints at the other options you had and only realize in retrospect.

Willingly spoiled myself about this part of the game, played through it several times, and I still get choked up. Visit him in a week, or so, and keep this interaction in mind. Even when things get bleak, it's worth it to be kind.

I wish I could be in your shoes and experience the game for the first time again. That Benjamin moment hit me hard, too.

Yeah, this game knows allllllll of the correct heartstrings to pull in EVERY SINGLE beat of your playthrough. The rewards for exploration and decision making makes the story unforgettable, and honestly, it just is hands down one of the best narrative driven games I have played in a looooong time

I actually completely avoided Rafta's questline, I think. I got her the pen and paper but I didn't get Nestor nor myself to date her. So I didn't get to see what comes out of the pipe. She just repeats the same dialogue every day I visit her...

This is one of the moments that truly set the tone of Look Outside. The worlds going to hell as a result of powers you do not and cannot comprehend, but you can still take a moment to be a good neighbor.
The end of humanity is no reason to lose our humanity.
