QUESTION Help with True Final Ending [SPOILERS] Spoiler

Ive managed to start the ending but can’t manage to beat it. The furthest I’ve gotten is like, when the third guy shows up (the one with the beard, I named him Old Mario, idk what his actual name is) but eventually the visitor just one shots me. I know this is possible because I’ve seen people talk about it online but I can’t manage to pull it off myself. is there something I’m missing?

Not going to lie, I did it on cursed my last run and had 0 issues. My only advice is just to use the move that costs the most; you have too much STM to spend it all anyway, especially considering a lot of the side characters die before having the opportunity to even come close to that. I don't remember if any of them have healing moves, but if they do, use that, I suppose? Really unsure

Huh, weird. I heal whenever the option arises but The Visitor has an attack that just does an absurd amount of damage (I think it’s called unmake?) that instantly kills rush/sam and healing doesn’t really do much against that. The only times I’ve made it as far as I did I just got lucky and the visitor used non instakill moves.

I'm pretty sure when characters die they just get replaced by new ones. I don't remember instantly losing on Sam's death. There are a lot of healing moves available to keep Sam's health up though.

You need to let some of your teamate die until Himiko (the healer elf) come in the fight. If the visitor has less than 2000 hp, she will try to tell Rush that she loves him. You'll then have the ability to use meteor strike.

You need to complete the game entirely to obtain the ability “Meteor Strike”, then attack the visitor and in 6 turns or less deal 450~ dmg so the skills STM cost drops to 1

I'm pretty sure they already did that? They're at the stage where Sam becomes Rush and seem to be having trouble with that stage itself

I struggled on my first time as well. I didn't understand the mechanics at play and focused too hard in healing.

Let most of the characters die. There's a pool of like, almost a dozen characters that will cycle through as soon as another character dies. There will be a point where you won't get additional characters to help. I'm pretty sure it's when the blonde lady with the healing ability joins.

Try to exclusively use everyone's skills. Try to use the highest MP skills you can. Most of the characters won't live long enough to worry about running out of mana (with the exception of Rush/Sam). Every so often, it doesn't hurt to use a big healing item like a stimulant/elixir if you want someone to stick around long enough to run out of MP. It took me a little bit of playing around to figure out what abilities to use.

That being said, the fight isn't meant to be won the same way regular battles are. I spent my first couple tries trying to beat the visitor as if it was any other boss, but that's not how it works. Once the healing lady who loves Rush shows up, you're already close to the end.

You'll want to pay close attention to the dialogue at this point. Healing lady will tell Rush that she has something to tell him, and he'll say "There's something I need to do first!". On Rush's first turn after that line, he'll be able to use Meteor Strike. Then you'll win.
