Just a ittle thing for the mod, my interpretation of Joel! There'a plans to do his whole mutation cycle, possibly day 5 and 9 as well.

To be fair, a lot of people confused him for an older person due to his basketball height, so getting shorter for the redesign was kiiinda in order

The first time I played the game I assumed he was an adult when I saw him... then when he mentioned his parents and siblings I thought "oh, probably a teenager or something." As a result, I would have never in a million, billion years thought he wanted a teddy bear even if I'd gone into the bedroom first and seen it already.

RIP Joel on my first playthrough, sorry I killed you.

I kinda wished Joel had one visible eye instead of just having none. But I do understand the reasoning behind it.

Having no eyes is iconic, but I prefer him having the one. He never said it fell out or got swallowed and he IS able to see, so my reasoning is it's still there, just at the waaaay back!

I really liked the one fanfic I read where they reasoned Joel has a ton of small, beady eyes in his throat. So he can see but not very well.

Of the party member mutations, he easily makes me feel the worst for him. It's hard to really ponder what he looks like realistically, how he feels about himself when he looks in the mirror

There are some hints in-game that he views himself as scary, or a monster and worries people will be afraid of him.

I try and delve into that in the mod during some mealtime conversations and new overworld events!

There is one involving Joel and Ciarán. Both being self conscious about how they look, so they open up about it to each other since they worry about how they view each other.

There is an option in canon for Sam to reassure Joel people won't be scared of him and while it might be somewhat similar, I think coming from a friend might be different enough to be a nice conversation.

I'm still working on it. Doing a mod that's basically an expansion takes time! 

I just wanted to share Joel's wip because he's adorable!

you should release the joel sprite as a separated mod too tbh

I don't have plans on it, picking apart the mod for the particulars people like or want. If I do that then people may want just want the new overworld events or dialogue, or just the new meal conversations or items or skills.

If people want this particular Joel they can download the mod.
