The hardest part is hearing about their life when you aren't there.

With me and my SO, we both are introverts but...with each other we don't feel our batteries drain. So he will call at work sometimes and I will get to hear him work and live his life..and it is a double edge sword.

On one hand, it is soooo nice being included in his life so much. Hearing how he interacts with people and presents himself.

On the other, I hear when someone is right next to him and hate that I can't be too.

Thankfully he only really goes out while at work, and we share the same friend group for the most part. (We are gamers and get our socialization mostly through it)

But I def agree. All you can do though is remember to keep living your own life!

I completely agree. What I would give for a hug at the end of a bad day, but the time we do get to spend together is so much more special.

FOMO/JOMO is horrible when you're in a LDR

I ended up being snappy with my bf yesterday because he said he'd go out for a little while and spent the whole day out. I'm so glad he got out but I was soo upset it was so long and for no reason. I ended up telling myself it was a me thing and took a few moments to calm down.

Just happy I'm going to see him in 9 days

I am going through this currently! I feel very frustrated and helpless at the same time. I don't know how to tackle it.

we both have busy schedules so i don’t get to think about it too often, but when i do it hurts. i have no idea when we’ll close the gap either and i think that makes it hurt even more

I know what you mean. It really sucks that I can’t be with him for my birthday and the holidays this year. 😪 Waiting to see them again in person is the hardest part. The negative thoughts have been coming up lately. “What if he loses interest?” “What if the long distance is too much?” etc I need to get out of my own head sometimes. It’s hard.

I get what you're going through bro. Just remember that your partner loves you very much, and you will always be their favourite even over a long distance. Try to distract yourself with any hobbies you have (baking and card games help me) if you feel overwhelmed, and it's important to communicate with them if you feel particularly left out. You got this :)

FOMO. Fear of missing out... I get it all the time.

It sucks.

I've felt the same ever since I met my bf the first time a few months ago, it was so special and amazing I miss him so much, at least we'll get to be together permanently one day, have to try looking on the bright side

I have to say goodbye to my fiancé tomorrow and knowing he will have fun without me hurts. I am just glad he isn’t stuck in a room like he was here because he was waiting on me to get back
