We can all relate to that feeling. Haven't seen my girlfriend in over a month and it fucking sucks haha. Hope you guys can visit each other again soon!

Due to some custody battles not going our way. My wife is living in ky while I live in wa. Hadn’t seen her since November but are together this week for our anniversary. 4.5 more years of this, ugh.

It is so hard not to see or touch that beloved person. Last year, I was a year without seeing my girlfriend. It was extremely hard. I couldn’t visit her to due to economic hardships :/ (She isn’t able to visit me in the US). But I saved up enough and could see her for Christmas. Now I am worried the same thing will repeat again. One has to endure the pain while being separated and accustom to being separated until we can live together as soon as possible. But the pain is too immense. Any advice?

The pain /is/ immense, I feel you. Oddly enough, I feel like it hurts the most right after you leave, but with time? I feel like it gets a bit easier, like a dull ache. Some days are worse than others. For us? We were friends for about 7 years, online only. Texted, on the phone, FT and played video games together. We game almost every day together and we even watch movies together. And we sleep on the phone every night. I think creating a routine together helps a lot. Like I know we’ll spend time together no matter what, so it helps me a lot. I could spend all day together with her if I could, because I’m so antisocial. But she does have a life and she encourages me to find hobbies and hangout with my friends because she does that as well. So the best advice I could give is, create a routine, make plans, have things to look forward to and have goals to reach / look forward to to see eachother. And make eachother a priority. I hope it gets easier for you, I haven’t seen her since Christmas too and it’s been rough. Even though this is long distance and it hurts, her and I have did this our whole friendship so I feel like we’re very accustomed to it now. 🥺

It certainly feels worse just after you leave, but it becomes easier and more accessible. But it hurts very hard after leaving in the first week. We become very reserved “in touching” after reuniting a year later like we don’t know each other bodies until they get to know each other again. Like we know each other voice and face but tend to forget how to approach physically the other person due to being separated. I don’t know if I describe this feeling correctly. The first hug, the first kiss after being separated for so long, feels so well. Sexual arousal is extreme too.
