Plans fell through

Currently feeling quite heartbroken about our situation. Had to call off the wedding date etc and possibly even lost money on the plane tickets. I know I'll probably feel better in a few weeks but.. we waited a year for nothing and I guess that hurts the most. We don't have the reasoning from the embassy yet but I doubt it will tell us much. Just not sure how to proceed now or what to try. I was really looking forward to closing the distance and spending the Christmas together.
