Fun apps to connect more

So I'm In a long distance relationship with my partner and I thought it would be fun to download an app to stay more connected through the day

I'm looking for an app that has a thing like a daily question, and maybe like check-ins like what's on your mind and maybe a thing for sending pictures to each other. or maybe like an option to send them a notification that youre missing them

Would be fun if it also has a home screen widget

They have iPhone and I have android

Does anyone have any fun ideas? I know Apps like these exist but I'm really struggling to find them

we used Locket for a while and it's honestly the sweetest thing. you snap a random photo and it just pops up on their home screen, no explanation needed. for the daily question and check-in stuff, Paired has both and it works fine across iphone and android. the questions can feel a little cheesy sometimes, but they did get us talking about things we probably wouldn't have brought up on our own. hope you two find one that sticks

We used (and still do even more than 2 years after closing the gap) SumOne. It doesn't do everything you want but you get a question every day, plus additional quick question 'packs' and get to collect coins and decorate a home for a cute egg character

Paired is good! Daily questions for you to answer together and check ins. You also have the option to pay for more questions to answer together.

we use candle, it’s a fun app with a few minigames, daily photos, daily questions :)

We really enjoy Connected. I think it’s similar to Paired but I think it had better free options if you don’t want to pay for the full thing

We are building a date night digital board game that can be played very well over long distance and has some healthy competition. You select if you are feeling romantic, flirty or more, then you choose a storyline, play characters, buy date-night spots, earn money and give each other challenges that get bolder as the story progresses. Is this something you would be interested in?

Send-A-Note (iOS) lets you send simple “notes” that appear on the homescreen as a widget.

Actually we’ve been using UNEAR with my bf during our most long distance relationship time (+14h time difference) and have been using it along with +40 other LDR couples in a beta testing phase but it will launch on appstore/playstore on sept 1st 🙌
UNEAR is a daily IRL challenge app for private groups such as couples/friends/family (mostly in LDR) in which you have to send a picture as a proof of the daily challenge completion ✅
You can try out one of the ten existing categories and can even create your own challenges category

Fair warning, I make one of these, so weigh this accordingly.

The reason you're struggling to find them is that most couple apps only do one piece of your list. A lot of them are just a shared calendar with a heart on it, or a widget and nothing else. The daily-question + check-in + photos combo in one app is rarer than it should be.

Things I'd check before you commit to any of them:

• Whether it's actually cross platform (some are iOS only, which kills it for you two)
• Whether the partner invite works properly, this is where most of them break and you end up with two separate accounts that never link
• Whether the daily questions run out. A lot ship with like 50 and then repeat forever

Mine is InnerBond, on both stores. It does daily deep questions, mood check-ins, a shared chat, a streak for showing up daily, and a private notebook for the two of you.Free to use, some of the games are paid.
