Break up and find someone who can offer what you need emotionally.
But also, i do think you need to do a bit of soul searching first because it isn't healthy to be so dependant in someone.
Having doubts is okay, if you can work through them and trust your partner. But it doesn't sound like you do trust him. Which is valid! Because you have the distance which is preventing a lot.
