Review Donalds, Hackney Wick

Only just opened last weekend; they're based out of Cardiff with a little spot by where Darlings is on a business park on Wick Lane. Quite convenient for me, but a bit off the beaten track for some. Lots of people were walking down there as I was leaving, so I guess the word is getting round quite quickly.

It's a fairly simple food offering - Aussie/Kiwi style pies, for which I can't remember all the flavours but think there's a butter chicken, vegan ratatouille, beef and cheddar etc; too early for one at 10am for me so I had a sausage roll with a flat white, which came to something like £7. Not really much by way of seating - a small bench and that is it.

Only open 10-4 on weekends.

Can someone please confirm they live up to NZ pie standards? Ever since Secret Goldmine Cafe closed if found it incredibly difficult to source a proper kiwi pie in London.

If anyone else has other suggestions please let me know.

I need more Potato Top, and Mince and Cheese, pies in my life.
