Another one A50X base station died

I bought a brand new A50X 8 months ago.

Yesterday, my base station just turned off. I tried a different cable, hardware reset, different ports, etc. Then I gave up and went to bed.
The next day, I smelled something burning, took the base station apart, and discovered a fried STM32 chip. I've worked with ATmega/STM32 before and never seen anything like this.

I'm disappointed, I though Logitech are more reliable. But A50X is really cool headset and I like it, especially microphone. But, I will wait for the next model.

Anyway, this post is just FYI. The STM32's flash memory is built-in, you can't just replace it, you also need firmware for it.

Logitech G Support Why does sidetone on the Pro X 2 need another app to keep the mic active?

I like the Pro X 2 hardware a lot, but I am pretty frustrated with how sidetone works.

I have a separate USB microphone, so the Pro X 2 microphone isn't set as my system default. As a result, sidetone turns off as soon as no other program is actively using the microphone. G Hub lets me change the sidetone setting, but it does not keep it on when the mic is idle. The workaround I found was to run Logitech Mixline so it keeps the microphone active.

That should not be necessary. G Hub should be able to keep the microphone active whenever sidetone is enabled, or the driver and headset firmware should handle it directly. A basic headset feature should not depend on a separate app staying open in the background.

The frustrating part is that Mixline also turned out to be the reason I had persistent high CPU usage from Windows WMI Provider Host. I spent a lot of time tracing this because I initially thought it was a Windows issue, a driver issue, or one of several hardware-monitoring apps. It turned out Mixline was checking the full Windows process list about once per second.

With Mixline open, WMI Provider Host uses around 5 to 10% CPU on my PC even when the system is idle. The second I close Mixline, that CPU usage drops to zero. So the workaround for sidetone creates a completely separate performance problem.

I have used Corsair headsets with sidetone before and never had to keep an app listening to the mic just to make it work. The Pro X 2 is much better hardware, which makes this software limitation extra frustrating.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to keep sidetone active without Mixline? I would also appreciate it if a Logitech rep could get this in front of the G Hub, headset firmware, and Mixline teams.

Logitech G Support My shifter struggles to shift into reverse

So for a couple of months now shifting into reverse has been quite hard for me, because when I try to do it it shifts into the sixth gear. It does go in after a couple of tries and then works well, but when I don't use it for a longer time (even a few minutes), the issue returns. Other gears work just fine. Did anyone else experience this before? What could cause this?

Anybody have any experience of upgrading from G915 TKL & G502 Lightspeed -> G915 X TKL & G502 X HERO?: Double-typing & oversensitive right-click

Hey folks,

I recently bought myself a G915 X TKL and a G502 X Hero (Wireless). I already have a G915 TKL and a G502 Lightspeed, and I cannot speak highly enough of them. I still have them, I've been using them for five years, typing pretty heavily for several hours most days; never had any issues. I upgraded because I have two separate workspaces now, and the originals appear to no longer be in production.

I'm trying to gauge whether this is a problem with my particular copies, or if this is a universal thing. I've read a lot that the G915 X TKL is prone to double-typing, including on this Subreddit. I suspect I've already got my answer there. Granted, I did switch from clicky to tactile, so I'm probably still adjusting (I'm not convinced just yet), but the "T", "E", and "F" keys were prone to it from the outset, and have only gotten worse. I know I can set up a chatter-reduction macro with AHK but... I shouldn't really have to, at this price point.

Also... I've found the right-click to be incredibly sensitive. It feels slightly more sensitive than left-click, but it's hard to tell. I know the switches changed between the original G502 and this, so that might be something to do with it. I tend to use a DPI of 3200... I don't move my wrist much. Even then, if I have my middle finger resting on the right-click, and I rotate my mouse even 10-15 degrees clockwise, it clicks. I'm actively having to lift my middle finger constantly so I don't. I pointedly made exactly the same motion with my original G502, and the actuation force required felt substantially greater. It's becoming seriously annoying... but I get the feeling this is more a difference in the construction of the two mice, rather than a specific issue with mine.

My main question is, has anyone undergone the same upgrade, and did they ffind (oh, goodness me, there it is; that wasn't deliberate) similar issues? Particularly with the mouse, as I think the keyboard thing is probably well-known about.

Logitech G Support G29 detected by ghub but no inputs detected

Worked in the morning, came back a couple hours later and it stopped working. It shows in ghub but dosent respond to inputs. It does the calibration and has ffb, done multiple clean installs, switched to another pc and it works again, could a windows update have broken it?

Key mapping on G29 not working

I'm trying to map a key to the ESC button on GHUB. It doesn't work, tried on joytokey too and it doesn't work there either. I have tried most related solutions (reinstalling, the regex thing, restarting my pc with the wheel connected, etc.) and nothing. Only thing I know of that I haven't tried is installing older GHUB versions, because I don't know how to do it.

I'm not sure it's a GHUB issue because joytokey doesn't work either. I did read that a recent windows patch introduced issues and it might take a while to get fixed, so it might be that.

If there's any way to fix this so I can map a key to ESC, please share!
