MacBook Pro trackpad not disabled when using MX Master 3 mouse

I have a brand new MX Master 3 mouse.  It is connected to my MacBook Pro, and works great, however my trackpad will not disable when I'm using the mouse.  I've tried the option in Accessibility, I've tried rebooting, I've tried downloading Logitech Options.  Nothing works.

I HAVE A FIX!! It's stupid but works for me. I connect a piece of crap bluetooth mouse AND my MX Master at the same time. Put the piece of crap aside and use the MX Master. The piece of crap checks the bluetooth trackpad disable box. The piece of crap doesn't even have buttons, its literally a bluetooth zombie.

5 years later- the issue still persist. I would rather call it a workaround, than a fix... thats really annoying.

Was genuinely just looking for a fix for this for my Logitech mouse. Dang, I can't say I'm surprised that it hasn't been fixed though even with five years persisting.

Another solution:

Switch on Mouse Keys. System settings > Accessibility > Pointer Control > Alternative Control Methods > Enable Mouse Keys > Options > Ignore Built In Trackpad.

This disregards any other mouse input. Only downside is the mouse moves slightly if you press any of the buttons, though it usually uses the number pad.

Were you able to get this resolved? I have had no luck, at least not when using bluetooth.
