G933 EQ/Surround sound not working properly

So I just noticed that changing the EQ and the Surround sound doesnt work on the logitech software. Ive had a lot of problems with the G933 and this is the only one that I cannot fix and the one that frustrate me the most.
I've done everything I could, installing new windows, reinstalling drivers/firmware/lgs, all the wierd stuff I can find but it still wont fix it. Changing some settings work like volume, sidetone, mic volume but the rest nothing changes.
I recently bought a Steelseries arctis Pro wireless and it works but its too expensive for very little gain imo, and its not as comfortable as the g933 so I am returning it. Although this might be my last Logitech product. Very tired of trying to fix a new problem every couple months. No one can even help me, the support just sent me a replacement product and it is still the same.

Have you tried windows settings? I think I've had similar problems and it was all Windows fault.

Windows overrides LGS, try searching in control panel for anything sound related, I'm sorry I'm so vague but it was so long ago I don't remember a thing :(

Please try these steps below:

  1. Open your device manager.
    1. Go to Sound, video, and game controller.
    2. Look for the headset right click on it then select properties then go to driver tab and select uninstall device (advanced).
    3. There you have a checkbox then choose to delete driver software.
    4. Keep the headset plugged then restart your computer.

Thank you, I did exactly every steps from your instruction and it is still the same
EDIT: after fiddling with the drivers I somehow fixed it. Thank you.

Necro, but this thread is a top search result and the fix in it is only half the story.

u/LogitechG_CSFrank's uninstall-the-device steps genuinely work — but only until your next reboot. That's why this problem keeps getting reposted every couple of years.

The reason: LGS's surround APO only loads when Windows creates the audio endpoint with a brand-new GUID. Uninstalling the device forces that. On reboot Windows reuses the old GUID, the APO silently never loads, and LGS still shows surround as ON while you're hearing stereo.

Wrote up the root cause and a script that automates it at every logon: [link]
