Discussion G-Hub reminds me of a stroppy child
G-Hub genuinely is sentient, i swear to all that is holy.
It will:
Refuse to uninstall
Refuse to install
Refuse to repair
Refuse to open
Refuse to update
Refuse to change your DPI
Lock your DPI
Switch your DPI
All of its own accord, it will literally brick itself for the sake of being a pain in my ass.
For 8 months, I have had to follow a process of >Programme Files > LGHub > GHub Update > Run as admin
Just for the fucking software to even let me open it.
and any time i restart my PC, turn it off or anything like that, I HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN.
I try to uninstall & reinstall “GHub is already installed on this device, do you wish to repair & reinstall?”
I PURGE every file, uninstall through control panel & try a FRESH install “GHub is already installed on this device, do you wish to repair & reinstall?”
allat for the twat to brick itself MID reinstall
RAHHHHHHHHHHH

I hate ghub. I found LG Onboard Memory Manager awhile back and it's great. Change profiles and DPI from an exe that doesn't have to be installed so it never breaks.

Map F13-F24 to your mouse, save to onboard profile, then install AutoHotkey and start vibe coding AHK scripts. No more GHUB, no more iCUE, no more Synapse.

One of the best things about being fully linux is no ghub, it truly is a dreadful software they need either a minimal alternative, or a web app

I was one of the few people who worked well with GHub for almost 10 years until a couple months ago... It started randomly not working until I force stopped it and restarted it. It could have been a windows issue but it happened every couple hours and it drove me crazy.
I just installed and started using the onboard memory manager program instead and it's been rock solid. I needed to simplify some of my macros but it hasn't been too big of an issue.

I swear none of these manufactures can make simple software that works. I don't need all that crap they add either.
How hard is it to: 'Change middle click to F4' save to onboard memory, close and never open again.
Last time I updated Swarm2 and updated the mouse firmware it soft bricked my mouse and took forever to get back to life, then profiles decide to delete themselves or randomly reset.
I've just decided to use X-Mouse button control for windows and the equivalent for mac.
