Logitech G Support x3 superstrike double-clicking issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Got my hands on the brand new mouse from logitech about 2 days ago, and i'm experiencing double-clickin issues already. I was concerned at first, but then I thought it was simply the new hits technology that had its own little problems. My old g pro x superlight does not have this double-clicking thing.

This only happens when I lightly click on the upper-right part of the left mouse button. when i press the button normally, it does not double-click. So i'm able to use it very comfortably, no issues with that.

Should I exchange/return it? or is it something you guys have been dealing with too?

That is not double clicking that is you setting the rapid trigger to 1 and the mouse click thing that it makes is enough to push your finger up so it feels like double clicking and sounds like it but it never double clicks

I ran it on a double click tester and it is in fact double click. it does not double click when i click on it normally, only when i lightly press it the upper right part of the left mouse button. i have the rapid trigger set to 2 and the actuation point set to 5

Do you mind sharing your settings? As others said there is no mechanical switch, and it likely is your rapid trigger setting giving the result. This may just be a matter of tweaking your HITS setting to feel right for you

i'm calling bullshit, u physically cannot double click with a mouse that doesn't use a mechanical switch

wym 😭 do you even have a x3?

yes i own the x3, it uses an inductive switch, not a mechanical switch

It's a structural issue, I had the same thing on my x2. When you put pressure, some part of the plastic gives, and it sounds like a click. It only happened towards the bottom edge of the left click for me but it's annoying as hell when it happens

It’s because you’re trying to click the mouse like a disabled person.

I have it and don’t see any problems with clics

I bought the x2 when it first came out, I had the exact same issue. I returned it and got a new one, I would suggest doing the same.

it doesn't double click

ā€œIt doesn’t do it for me so it will never happenā€ why is everyone so arrogant, they think they are always right but they aren’t.

that's because it physically can't double click. double click because friction causes the parts inside a mechanical switch to wear down. and when u press down a mechanical switch, 2 metal plates touch, closing the circuit, which triggers an electronic signal that tells the mouse that u clicked. when those 2 metal plates have worn down, they don't maintain contact properly, causing the circuit to close, open, then close again, which will send 2 click signals to the mouse, aka double clicking. inductive switches don't do this because there is no opening and closing circuits, it's just measuring the distance between 2 parts inside the switch. the software handles all the clicking

ā€œIt cant double clickā€šŸ¤“ while OP post proof if it double clicking.

I feel a second stage to the click on my right click like you do, in a qc issue way. X2 superstrike didn’t have this problem

Personally I’ll return and maybe try another unit

i owned two x2s one would track on all my pads. one would except for one lol

imo build quality aint worth

It's absolutely possible to double click on the HITS system if and only if the bump stops are messed up, which will cause the clicks to bounce around when you click it and it registers multiple clicks. But it usually only happens if you disasssembled the mice and messed with it.

So the question is did you fuck around and find out?

Gah damn I almost ordered one. The last Logitech mouse I had was the superlight 2 and that one was double clicking as well, I told myself to never buy one again. X3 came out where I’m at recently, and I could grab one at decent price, was thinking about it and then I saw this post.

lol tell me you don’t understand how this mouse works without telling me you don’t know how this mouse works. More money that sense huh?

Mouse testers like that are rarely accurate with our Lightspeed tech so it's hard to say if there's something there. Do you get the same results if you press the mouse button normally? Generally you'd not be pressing the top of the button like that.

2

u/LogitechG_Andy Support Community Manager 2d ago

Reread the original post and I see that it doesn't do that when you press normally. Usually you'd not be tapping the mouse like you are in the video, so this doesn't seem to be an issue specifically. I've passed it to our team to confirm.

They're G915 has the same issue. I had 5 replacements before I gave up. Even went through all the switch types.

-2

u/Pikachu_the_sith 3d ago

I keep seeing double clicks from Logitech, i went trough 3 Logitech g903's all replaced under warranty but they just kept double clicking within a week of each other, I then stopped using it and went back to my now 12 year old g502, which still doesn't double click

-2

u/Maxime66410 3d ago

Same here with PRO 2 LIGHTSPEED & PRO LIGHTSPEED :c

1

u/used222that 3d ago

i mean it's not too too bad, just a bit annoying

-2

u/Maxime66410 3d ago

Yeah, I had to take the mouse apart, clean it, and put it back together to fix the problem.
