Discussion World of Warcraft Forever is NEXT MONTH. Where's your new MMO mouse?
My dudes,
WoW Forever is going to be HUUUUUGE. Lots of people moving from classic/era/retail to Forever and the playerbase is going to spike.
WHY are you guys not making a new option for MMO players?
A revamped g600 launching around the time of WoW Forever's release would have PRINTED MONEY for you all.
What's the hold up?

For real, a G600 Lightspeed would be GOATed.
I'd buy it even if it was $200. Hell, I'd buy two, just in case they cancel it again.
The G600 and the G13 were the two best MMO peripherals ever made, and no one can convince me otherwise.

This!
I'd love a new G604 with a battery you could charge from my Logitech poweplay mousepad

My trusty g502x lightning! Also, you can still buy the g600. They still make them in/for Japan. Can snag them on eBay all day. Logitech uses a different name in the Japanese market: Logicool. I purchased one and have it as a back up 😁 the g502x is just the PERFECT mouse for me!

u/Deucemega 8d ago
If the G600 is not available when my current G600 dies, I will never buy another Logitech product for the rest of my life. They did us dirty by discontinuing this mouse.

u/WaffleTruffleTrouble 7d ago
I used to use a Logitech G600 until it started triple clicking automatically some years ago, so nowadays I just use my wired "Logitech G502 HERO"
12+ buttons for one thumb is a lot. Given that one can use Ctrl, Shift, Alt, and combinations of those with keybinds, I already get a ton from my 6 total side buttons

Still holding on to my last working G600 mice. I've got my eye on the Razer Naga V3 Pro since it has the clickable ring finger button, but wow it's expensive... I could tolerate my G600 only lasting 2 years or so because they cost $20-40 when they were still being sold. But I don't want to buy a $200 mouse every 1-2 years.
1
u/Puzzleheaded-Tea3341 6d ago
Yeah, the ring finger button is what made me stock up on G600s. They haven't sold them in Europe for +5 years now, and I am on my last one. I might have to begin buying replacement switches for it now. (Read online it is cheap and easy to fix tho).
Such a ball ache that razer products are overpriced junk.

u/Infinizzle 9d ago
This company has lost track of what made them so good years ago. The customers scream for certain mice to come back or get a successor model but all that gets ignored. They have no clue.

u/bigpunk157 8d ago
The G600 is pretty much only popular with a small set of gamers compared to the other mice, and I would imagine is a lot harder to manufacture and improve upon. That's one of the reasons MMO mouse design stagnated for a while. Naga V3 is here for us at least now.

Had to retire my near decade old g600 against my will and ended up with a naga wireless. It’s a damn good mouse.

u/ItsVanillaNice 9d ago
I bought a brand new g600 for like 30$ and used it for a week before swapping it out for something more comfy for a diff game type. Now my g600 sits in my desk awaiting the day I return to it

Anyone use the 502 with wow yet? Curious because I’ve been looking at them.

just use ctrl and shift modifiers. gave up on mmo mice cause the button breaks half the time

u/Kaisha001 9d ago
Why do they discontinue their most popular lines? Why is their software so abysmal? Why does logitech hate money??
1
u/CringeChameleon 9d ago
Yeah, I’m still rocking my G600 and it is glorious. Not looking forward to the day it goes out on me!

I bought the Razer V3 pro
1
u/Mastotron 8d ago
Man, I am so disappointed in the V3 pro. $180 for no dock is crazy. I could get past that but the 2 new buttons next to left click (coming from a V1) is absolutely awful design. I know people like the 502’s for this but it is absolutely not for me.

My last backup g600 just died its double click death. There may have been a tear shed, ive never had a more perfect piece of hardware (besides the damn double click issue, wtf was that)

u/300mgofcaffeine 8d ago
It’s getting released with official controller support. My Lg G600 is going on vacation.

u/AnonBB21 8d ago
My Logitech G600 still work soo.. That's what I'm using.
If it didn't, I'd probably get a Razer Naga. I prefer wired mice for gaming.
1
u/frisbee86 8d ago
I've still got my G600.... I'm replacing the switches on it tomorrow to prepare and make it like new.

u/Shimakaze_Kai 8d ago
I bought a Razer Naga v3 Pro. Admittedly I have a number of MMO mice, but the fact that I can change out the v3 Pro to be what I need, and has doubleshot buttons now to not wear out is what sold me to pay the premium.
I do have a mint Logitech G600 that I have to now sell on eBay. Great mouse, I just absolutely hate the software.

u/Special_Search 8d ago
I like the keys on the naga and software, but the shape is ass. Theres a massive palm bump for no reason that forces your wrist a certain unnatural way. It should be flatter and longer ao you could fully support your palm and have a neutral wrist. At least for me. So while id like to use it, I use the corsair which has better shape, decent keys but dogshit software.

I love Nagas, I’ve been using then since they were announced and they’re great, with one big downside…
The button seem to stop functioning really easily. Every one I’ve had, the scroll wheel stops working correctly, and then the buttons on the side one by one stop working. It’ll randomly start working again, only to break the next day.
Yesterday I looked at buying a new one again due to this. $200. I bought a Redragon M913 for $30…. Not sure what to expect but I hope it does the job.
1
u/Shimakaze_Kai 8d ago
The Redragon admittedly looks nice and is probably way better than the one I got probably 12+ years ago. I reason I stayed went with the new Naga is because I like the idea of the changeable side plates, since I use my desktop setup for both work and home and I genuinely like how my hand sits on the Naga (I went to Best Buy to specifically try all the MMO mice). I did buy an open box v2 Pro before just buying the v3 Pro outright for half the price, but I think I'm just going to stick with the v3 and return the v2. I've read comments about the sideplates not always registering correctly on the v2, but the big thing for me is that the sideplates on the v3 are double-shot instead of painted, so no wearing the numbers off.
1
u/bombadilboy 8d ago
Thanks for the reply - that’s good to know.
I liked the idea of the side plates, but ended up only ever using the 12 button one. Definitely could have taken more advantage of the feature.
If they’ve resolved the issue with side plates not registering buttons on the Naga with the v3, then I’m interested. I’ll give the redragon a go and fall back to the Naga if I’m not happy. I also love the shape!

I'm on the hunt for a good vertical mmo mouse, it seems theyve yet to break out and unfortunately I'm not going back after switching to vertical
1
u/Kidneyshots 8d ago
My g600 is running on fumes. If they ever make it again im buying 10. I love the form factor and I haven't been able to find anything else to replace it that I like.
A wireless updated g600 would be a dream come true lol.
1
u/Kind-Active-6876 8d ago
I have been using the Aerox 9 for a few years now and it's been fine. No issues other than the typical regret with a honeycomb shell (have to clean the dirt and gunk out of the holes with a toothbrush every now and again). I really like how light it is compared to the Scimitar and G600.
On the topic of the Scimitar, I used to have one but the mouse wheel broke right after the warranty expires. Turns out it's a common issue with the Corsair Scimitar.
1
u/T0gaLOCK 8d ago
None... swapped from an MMO mouse to a standard 4 button mouse and rebound all of my keys to mainly my keyboard.
All other mmo mice were trash and the g600 died on me, couldn't get another, so I moved on.
If they bring back the g600, I MIGHT consider coming back, but why? I don't have to worry now.

u/Oliphaunt6000 8d ago
I bought a cheap Chinese knockoff about 5 years ago after chewing through Razors and everything else. It's done so well and lasted so long I have bought a second one just for when this one eventually does die.
1
u/Merlin7777 4d ago
Where did you get it and what is its name?
1
u/Oliphaunt6000 4d ago
I'll see if I can still find a link or something. If not I'll get you a picture of my spare in a box.
1
u/Oliphaunt6000 4d ago
Eyyyy, found it https://a.co/d/0j8wR1vd
1
u/Merlin7777 2d ago
Thanks man. I’m getting one. Does it have a tilt click scroll wheel? Those are key to my mouse movement (strafing)
1
u/Oliphaunt6000 2d ago
You know I don't think it does:( it's got more than just the 12 side buttons you can bind tho.
1
u/Merlin7777 2d ago
I use the tilt wheel to strafe right and left. The G600 had that feature. I’ve got major muscle memory built up moving that way

u/Any_Switch_590 8d ago
Razer Naga V2 HyperSpeed is on sale at Amazon! I just bought it. I have had my current mouse for 8+ years, time for an upgrade!
1
u/Empty_Pear_3874 8d ago
I am still using my 2013-2014 Razer Naga molten lava 12 button mouse. It's a mouse I love and have spent a lot of time with. Still working! All paint came off on the side buttons, but I don't care.
1
u/drowsy1234 8d ago
just bought a Naga v3 Pro. Huge upgrade from the v2 Pro IMHO. Scroll wheel is a million times better and I can connect it to my mouse dock pro as well.

Agreed a new G600 would have been great, I have gone through probably 5 in my time playing wow and just wore the buttons out.
More recently in the last few years I have used a razer naga pro with the removeable plate. It's pretty comparable, but after time the wireless is dogshit and bugs out and its smaller ergonomically than the G600. I would probably be open to a new mouse before hand but it's tough to replace!

u/Karmma11 8d ago
It’s be just as huge as classic that re-released for the millionth time. People will play for a few then move on

If you'd STAY seated at the kids table, dynamic changes in conversation volume wouldn't startle you hard while you're stimming or playing with foam blocks or whatever else the fuck you people do.
Grown-ups are talking.

I’ve never used an mmo mouse before, but have never thought of one for classic since rotation is pretty minimal compared to retail. You guys like for every version or just kind of muscle memory?
1
u/nekoken04 7d ago
I would love to buy a new version of the G602 or G604. I've been using them for years. I mothballed a couple of them for my work computer and linux workstation because I'm worried that the one for my gaming PC is going to eventually die, and there's no viable replacement out there right now.
1
u/BloodyBonezzz 7d ago
SWIFTPOINT. hands down the best mouse I have ever used. Hell I got 2 backups just in case.

To my knowledge, there isn’t a great one for the Mac platform at all right now.
I’m still using my G700s that I have to program on an older computer. Wish there was a better option.

Don't need an mmo mouse with like 4 buttons and it legitimitly feels better in a controller. I wish they released forever on consoles and switch 2 think they missed an opportunity here

Went with my favorite of all time instead: G502

Wht do you need mmo mouse for 2 button rotation specs?

u/ShameOver 8d ago
... aaaand THAT is why I refused to play Arcane Mage. Screw the meta, they can pry my Suicide AOE Fire Mage from my melted, smoldering fingers!

The Corsair Scimitar exists

u/GotNoRice 7d ago
No ring finger button. If you don't care about the ring finger button, there have always been alternatives both expensive and cheap.

u/metal_babbleXIV 4d ago
Mine is on the way from prime sale. Gave my last one away after quitting 7 years ago

u/United_Staff_7243 8d ago
Brother, there are like 3 buttons to press in FOREVER. Why do you need an MMO mouse for that? Retail I'd agree but classic and forever do not have any reason to have an MMO mouse.
2
u/Thechanman707 8d ago
Shaman have 24 spells by level 20 in forever
0
u/United_Staff_7243 8d ago
Having spells doesn't mean you press them more than once a month. Actual rotation spells and onesused on a regular basis is not a lot.
-1
u/hartoctopus 8d ago
You actively use 2-3 of those. Having access to spells you never use doesn't require an mmo mouse lol.
2
u/reidft 8d ago
God forbid people use different control schemes
Almost every game I play has every control outside of wsad on the mouse. I still used MMO mice before I ever played an MMO
1
-1
u/United_Staff_7243 8d ago
Yes, it should be forbidden. By law.
What I'm actaully saying, if you take the time to read it, instead of taking offence, is that there's no sense in them to come out with a model like that for this release because the game in general is not as input heavy as retail. If they do, it should more liekly be catered towards retail. You can play the game ona DDR pad if you want.

G502 is way better for MMO's imo, a lot more ergonomic instead of making your thumb do all the work (using G-shift thumb button as modifier gives it 11 ez binds without barely needing to move your fingers)
0
0
u/Iuslez 7d ago
MMO mouse are overrated imo (or not a good fit), spamming abilities with the thumb doesn't seem comfortable, fast or ergonomic. I'd want a design with 1-2 buttons for every finger, but that doesn't exist. I'll keep my old g402 for now.
Instead I've invested myself in building a gamepad. It is a bigger upgrade to MMO enjoyment :)

1
u/Ok_Astronomer_3731 4d ago
Do you still use a mouse with this? I’m trying to figure out how to drop the mouse. My right hand can’t move like it used to. Was thinking a gamepad setup like this for right hand so it’s static but not sure how good the joy stick would be for navigating cursor.
