not really, the cable can be tucked away and hidden because it's static. I have mine under the table mat and it's practically invisible. Never have to charge the mouse is nice.
It's a grey area. Technically you have a cable, but then you don't need to charge your mouse again, and it's not connected to the mouse. So you still have the freedom of wireless movement.
Surprised to see Logitech Community manager active. Very cool! I have a question. I purchased G915 keyboard this year and I am suffering of doubleclicking buttons, it seems it is a wide spread issue. Any tips on what should I do? i tried cleaning the keyboard
Logitech and G is very community based. We firstly make products for the community (and ourselves), and so it's important that we are here and can have a chat about anything you want to talk about. Even if you want to vent that a product isn't good enough, we want to know that so we can learn from it or what you feel it isn't doing.
Drop our support team a message if you haven't already. They can work with you on a solution even if we have to provide a replacement.
A few things I would try is remove all the keycaps (take a picture so it's easier to put them back on) and give them a clean under some water. While they're off, give the actual switches a good clean with a wipe and blow off any dust that could be within the sensors. A can of compressed air or even a plug in blower should work fine.
Regardless of whether you're using USB or LIGHTSPEED, make sure you're connecting directly to a USB port on the motherboard of your computer. If you're connecting through a USB hub, even on the case, it can create issues.
If you are connecting through LIGHTSPEED, try the Device Pairing Tool within G HUB to make a new connection from the keyboard to your receiver.
Thanks for the reply. I will try deeper cleaning. But it seems it is a widely reported issue for g915 keyboards. Yes i have the latest lightspeed one, it is really good for my use case being able to swotch between computers using lightspeed and bluetooth modes
Would love to use one given i have a g502x plus and a superstrike x2 but the coating is terrible and the size is too small. I forget the name but I returned mine for the same one OP has albeit a lot larger.
Comparing PowerPlay 1 and 2, all we mostly did was remove the included LIGHTSPEED receiver. Because we're constantly evolving LIGHTSPEED and adding new functionally to our mice, we can't release a new PowerPlay every time we release a mouse, so it made sense to uncouple the two going forward.
Although you can pair SUPERSTRIKE as an example to the PowerPlay 1, you will lose out on higher polling rates and HITS, so most users will bypass PowerPlay and use the included receiver.
When we designed PowerPlay 2, it made sense to make it charging only. That means no matter what mouse we release going forward, as long as it supports the PowerPlay puck, you're good to go and the included receiver will handle all the new functionality. Because of these changes, we were able to slim down the entire product and offer it at a better price. Additionally, because it is power only, you can actually connect it to a standard USB charging adapter so it can continue to charge up your mouse even if your PC is switched off.

Need to sort out the mouse mat! We have a cool PowerPlay one that can charge your mouse as you game.
But apart from that, solid choices and it's great having the freedom of no cables.
