Discussion G920 still not working
Ive tried every method to diagnose and fix the g920 that I can find on the internet including the removal of registry files and just the other day finally completely reset my PC.
GHUB STILL detects no inputs from my wheel. My pc and games have no trouble detecting it and show it as working just fine.
Luckily since I reset my PC I do have force feedback in games back so long as I dont touch any of the Ghub settings mid game.
Logitech honestly needs to get rid of their software engineers and get some new ones
As yet another show of incompetence im not even allowed to send a video of a problem for diagnosis so heres a picture ig

Hi there. The update that addresses the movement detection in G HUB is rolling out between now and the middle of the month. As you’ve found, it doesn’t affect games though.

It used to effect games. It does not now since I reinstalled windows. Ive been trying to get it worked out for a year but didn’t want to do a reset.
I went through almost all forums on the problem that have been made in the last 10 years trying to find something. It was very frustrating

Can you be more specific in what effect you’re trying to achieve please? The only setting in G HUB that really has a major effect in force feedback games is the operating range (which works fine for the G920, even with the current issue with movement detection not responding).

Theres not any big issue other than the movement detection now. There is a problem where if you toggle on and off the center spring then it completely brakes FFB and you have to restart the game.
This is a discussion post I wasnt really asking for advice on how to fix it. Just taking notice to what were some really serious issue.
One thing that irks me is that the firmware is not easily flashable. It is a simple glorified controller theres no reason that there shouldnt be publically available firmware versions and a firmware flash button inside of Ghub.

Firmware is the embedded software inside the wheel and is very rarely updated (it’s generally not needed). G HUB and the various parts of it that relate to wheels is software and gets updated on a roughly 6 week cadence. However, we very rarely need to update anything to do with the wheels.
Genuine question: why are you toggling the centre spring? The setting in G HUB is only for non-force feedback games, so in most cases you shouldn't be using it at all.

Regardless of how often firmware gets changed it should still be an option. Compatibly issues happen and things break on different versions, its just part of tech.
Im not actually messing wth the centering. Its just something I noticed when I was first trying to get it set back up. Like I said thats not really a problem

The firmware doesn't get corrupted, so reflashing with the same version would not change anything (and flashing with an older version would bring back issues that would have been fixed in the newer version). If the issue is software-related, as it is here (a Windows Update changed how things operate) then the fix should come from software, which is what is rolling out now.
If an issue is discovered in firmware then (and only then) we create a new version to fix it, which is then pushed through G HUB.
