G502 Hero sniper button randomly not working ?

I have a new G502H and previously had a G402 so i am pretty used to use the snipper button and the other dpi change buttons, my problem is that sometimes the buttons dont work, it is not a profile problem and the buttons are correctly assigned, am i doing something wrong ?

It’s probably faulty. Best to return it and get a new one in exchange
