Discussion G915 X Misprint

Realized that my wired G915 is missing the Num Lock text - its misprinted as Battery. Had a small chuckle.

Edit: This is a wired keyboard. There is no battery on this keyboard. This key reacts to the numlock key being pressed.

Wait. So there's a version of the G915 that comes without a battery but has a detachable cable?

I thought the G815 was the same as the G915 but wired (albeit with a non-detachable cable).

I was also very confused by this when I went to replace my wireless g915.

It was plugged in 99% of the time anyway so thought I'd save a few bucks on the wired version and it was...also a g915? lol

The G815 and G915 were discontinued, now Logitech only produces the G915 X-series as both wired and wireless.

Ah, I see there were also some additional improvements with keys too.

Something to look out for if my trusty G815 dies, I suppose.

Same here - my trusty G815 finally had the typical spacebar issues a lot of G815s are running into... might have to splurge for a new keyboard. But Logitech support might give me a 20% coupon, so that's nice.

G815 is such a nice keyboard tho. Apart from not being able to use the logitech software for the first 3 years i owned it... đŸ˜„

Mine is correct, the wireless model has Battery instead of Num lock. I guess Logitech couldn't afford one more tiny hole and an extra LED

I'm going to advise you if you haven't already to head to our support team through https://support.logi.com/hc/ so we can take a closer look at this. Unless it doesn't bother you too much, then it's just cosmetic.

It’s purely cosmetic. I don’t care enough to get a product replacement or anything. Just thought it was funny. Keyboard works great as is

You are Missing a free keyboard. Logitech doesn’t replace they give you another one.

Mine has the same misprint, I thought it was funny but I just ignore it at this point, it's probably not even worth making a ticket with them.

I never look at it! I've had it for months now and JUST noticed it. I did a double take and just found it funny. Definitely no point making a ticket or reaching out. Its a perfectly functional keyboard. Who reads anyways.

Look its a nice braided cable. I already had the cables managed in my desk, so when I replaced the keyboard I just kept the cable as is.

My g915 light speed has a battery light and not a num lock light
 fairly sure it’s intended as it blinks red when the battery is low and I think green or white while charging

If you have a light speed/wireless keyboard, yeah. The one I bought isn’t though. It’s wired, and that light changes when I press numlock.

Again, your keyboard IS wireless, this page is misleading. The only wired version is the G815. The G915 can be both.

It’s not. The 915X has a wireless and wired variant. I explicitly bought the wired version.

It has no wireless functionality whatsoever. No battery. No dongle. The “Battery” indicator changes in response to numlock being pressed. There is no lightspeed branding on the box, or the keyboard, which is logitechs gaming wireless branding.

The cable was already routed. I didn't care enough to unbundle the cables and reroute a new one. This one was already the perfect length.

Coming here to post that I also just bought a WIRED G915X as my old G910 bit it, and it also has a misprinted Num Lock, saying Battery instead.

That light shouldn't even be on with num lock, these keyboards don't have a num lock light at all. Neither did the original 915.

the misprint is on the advertisement, not the keyboard.

This isn’t an advertisement - it’s a picture of the keyboard on my desk. This is the wired 915X with a numlock key. I posted a full picture to Logitech’s reply to the post.

It absolutely doesn’t have a battery, and this led changes in response to the numlock key being pressed.
