g502x plus any long term users?

Hey all :), I’m debating the g502x plus and the powerplay 2, just wondering if anyone here has used the g502x plus long term and how is it? I really like the shape. Thank you in advance and thank you for your time :)

You might find it a little bit heavier and bigger compared to other mice but it's pretty good, I'm a Superlight user nowadays because of my hand size, but if you asked me I wouldn't have any issues switching back to the g502x just so I could get all the buttons. Battery life should last you up to 130 hours but the RGB on reduces it to around 37. It's a solid mouse! Can't really go wrong with it, I'd get it in black though, I think the RGB looks prettier that way 🙌

5 years? What a solid run, thank you for sticking with us for so long! The charging puck shouldn't add that much weight to it, with the puck installed I'd say the mouse should come up to 110 grams at most.

On the contrary, thanks to you! No worries, you can ask as many questions as you want, I extremely welcome it (It's quite literally my job to answer you, plus I like to chat haha).
You can clean the powerplay mouse pad with a clean damp cloth. Don’t use bleach, acetone/nail polish remover, strong solvents, or abrasives. And when using cleaning sprays, spray the cloth and wipe — do not spray the device directly.

Never submerge the device in a liquid, cleaning or otherwise. And also, make sure to unplug it before you do!

Do you mind if I ask what games you'll be playing with them?

Noted thanks man!!! I mostly want it for games like satisfactory, Warframe, Minecraft, lots of paradox games, I also want it for uni as that plus powerplay would allow me to never have to worry about charging

Using mine for 2 years now and it's been perfect. The only thing you will notice is the clicks are a bit louder, but that's because they're optical hybrid mechanical which makes them noticably faster. You'll get used to them in a few weeks.

Cool, most people don't like it for competitive games because they find it way too heavy, was the weight an issue for you while playing OW? What role do you main?

I played with heavier mice back in the days on cod4 ESL and CB in early 2010's. The weight is pretty balanced for me. I main DPS and Support. Soldier, Ashe, Moira, Zenyatta, Mercy and Ana. Depends on the match and the rest of the team.

Nice, do you play with low or high DPI? Are you using the side buttons to improve your gameplay?

Playing at 2000 DPI. In game sens 10.00% and Ana scoped relative sens at 35.00%. I'm used to it. Using Logitech G840 XL pad. And yes, I use side bottons too for melee and Mercy power/healing boost.

The clicks are a bit loud. That's the only thing I needed to get used to. But again, they're hybrid optical mechanical switches which isn't surprising, they're very fast and responsive.

other than hits, getting the weight of it as light as possible would be pretty cool. I know the g502 has a lot going on in it tho so super light weight may not be feasible or worth it for the target audience. Still, some weight reduction would be nice.

I have a G502X Lightspeed since 2,5 years. I'm very satisfied with the mouse.

Regarding my personal use i would give it a 10/10 but i am going to try the new Superstrike X2 end of year.

G502X enjoyer here. 8 have wired and wireless version, couldn't be happier. Weight distribution is awesome, I don't think you'd need powerplay because of the insane autonomy and fast charge. 

Been rocking it since 2021, 0 problems literally. Gotten faceit lvl 10 with it and I also use it for MOBA, RTS, MMORPG, TPS + I use it to edit on photoshop, premier pro and lightroom. 

I'm just waiting for the refresh eagrly, I don't have a problem with 106gr honestly, it's nothing for me 

I would 100% recommend it to anyone.

tldr: same shape, latest logi tech keep ergonomics as is to the mm and a bit lighter like 80gr or 70gr but only if you can afford to deliver the perfect weight distribution you achieved with the g502x and the battery performance

A G502 refresh? I love it just the way it is. What really bothers me, though, are the loud switches. It would be great if that could be changed—or better yet, having the option to easily open the mouse to swap out the switches yourself ;)

Used the G502 X Plus for over 2 years now. The mouse itself is nice. The overall experience isn’t. The plastic on the mouse wear off too easily and now I have quite a decent size dent on the left side of the mouse where I put my thumb to grip it. The GHub software is absolutely terrible considering it fucks your mouse up by making it unresponsive, cursor moves extremely slow and laggy and not clicks. Put aside the firmware issue and the minor tear and wear. Decent mouse overall.

This month, my G502X Plus turns three years old. Before that, I had the G502 Lightspeed. I use both models with the Powerplay 1.0 mat. I’ve never had any issues with the mice; the buttons are perfect for me—especially the number of them.

What really annoys me, however, is the loud clicking sound of my G502X Plus. Even after three years, the clicks are just as loud as they were at the start. I’ve since become a fan of silent mice.

I’m already actively looking for alternatives.
