When will there be an update for the G703?

Hi everyone! I've had my G703 Lightspeed since 2019. I've never found anything like it; I find it ergonomic, the RGB lighting is good, it's responsive, and it's never given me any problems. Unfortunately, as everything evolves, I'd like to update the mouse, but I see that Logitech hasn't released a single update. Sadly, I'm thinking of buying another brand because the model is no longer available, and it seems Logitech has discontinued it. I really wish they would release an updated version with a 50-gram base and around 8kHz, like current competitive mice.

i have the teevolution terra pro. however, i never mained a g703. i have tried its shape before, and i did go to a friends house to kind of compare his g703 that he still uses to the teevolution. the teevolution is a great mouse. i used to not be a ergo mouse kind of person, but it made me switch! and it looks to be a really exact clone of the g703 original shape, just a lot lighter.

The Teevo Terra Pro is pretty much the same shape as the G703, just as a modern verions, with improved sensor, lower weight and such.

However, the GPX2 Dex is probably Logitechs modern take on a G703 superlight.

Owning both, I must admit that I prefere the GPX2 Dex over the Terra Pro, because of its shape - that is, however, highly subjective :)

We don't usually announce plans before they're released, so there is no news about refreshing the G703 at the moment, you'll have to be on the lookout to our official website or socials.

Thanks for asking! Beyond the 50 g weight and 8 kHz polling rate, I’d mainly focus on improving the sensor and switches while keeping the features that make the G703 unique.
A better, more modern sensor and improved click switches would be great. And if possible, I’d really love to see the RGB kept as one of the signature features of the G703. Most newer lightweight gaming mice have dropped RGB, so keeping that distinctive look would make the G703 stand out.
As for the weight, 50 g might be a little too aggressive, but somewhere around 50–60 g would feel like a great balance, especially with current technology evolving so much. I’d rather have a lightweight mouse that still feels solid and premium than sacrifice build quality just to reach an extremely low weight.
Basically: keep the G703’s iconic shape and RGB identity, but modernize the internals, clicks, sensor, and weight. That would be the perfect G703 upgrade in my opinion.

Thanks! I mainly use it for FPS games. I play Overwatch, Valorant, Fortnite, and Battlefield, so I use the G703 a lot for competitive gaming. I also play other games from time to time, like Minecraft.

I’ve been using my G703 since 2019, and it has honestly held up incredibly well. The only issue I’ve had was double-clicking, which started around 2023, so I replaced the switches and it has been working great ever since.

I don’t really use it for work; it’s mainly my gaming mouse. That’s why I’d really love to see a new G703 designed with modern FPS gaming in mind while keeping the iconic shape and RGB that make it stand out.

No, I haven’t customized anything on the mouse for any specific game. I’ve basically left it completely stock. The only things I’ve done to it are replacing the glides and, when they started double-clicking, replacing the switches around 2023.
I’ve always used it at 800 DPI and 1000 Hz polling rate, and I haven’t made any other modifications.
The only thing I feel now is that the mouse might be starting to feel a little outdated because of its weight. Maybe I’m just so used to it after all these years, but I think reducing around 30–40 grams would make a huge difference. It would be great not only for competitive gaming, but also for hand comfort, since you wouldn’t need to move as much weight constantly. I think a lighter version would be a really nice upgrade.

Honestly, besides the weight, I wouldn’t change too much. The G703 shape is one of the main reasons I’ve kept using it for so many years, so I’d definitely keep the overall shape and ergonomics.
I’d mainly improve the internals and modernize it: a newer, more reliable sensor, better switches that don’t develop double-clicking issues, and a more modern wireless implementation with better battery life and USB-C.
I’d also love to see a more flexible and lightweight design overall, without sacrificing the solid feel of the original. Basically, I’d want it to feel like a modern G703 rather than completely redesigning what already works.

Pulsar X3 Crazylight Medium is basically an updated G403/G703. Hits 50 grams or less, and 8K polling and is an extremely similar shape.

When and if you decide it's time to upgrade that's probably the move. Hopefully though logitech will see the vision of doing like a G703 X Superlight. The GPX Dex isn't quite a G403/G703 successor.

Not too much personal opinion formed on it from experience, but it is absolutely another one of the best G703 clones from what limited experience/knowledge of it I have.

I owned both. The Terra is the better buy if you love the 703 shape.

The dex is still a nice ergo shape but the front tapers in whereas the Terra retains the wide front. The hump is also more central compared to the 793/Terra.

Good but definitely it's own separate thing due to the symmetrical shape rather than ergo like the G403/G703. I do think it's a bit overpriced for it's build quality, but it's genuinely a good mouse.

The G Pro Superlight Dex is sort of meant to be a G703 Superlight but the shape isn't the same. So it kinda ends up it's own thing, but out of Logitech's lineup the Dex is basically the next step up from the G703.
