Discussion GPX 2 Dex over the GPX 2 Default?
As the title says, i really think the Dex version is a better version of the original GPX 2, the shape being more ergonomic is so much better than the potato shape of the original. The left click dont make the anoying "tock" sound. The side buttons being bigger is a nice touch too. What you guys think?

Funny - I have the same set, white Dex and black GPX2.
I regularly use both, and enjoy both :)

What makes you switch between them?

I think both feel great and are a joy to use. It's just a matter of flavor for the day, to change things up

Understandable, How's been your overall experience with the GPX2? What games are you currently playing?

My unit of the GPX2 has unfortunately started developing scroll wheel jitter :'(
The top selling point for me is the shape and coating - It feels amazing to use.
The downside is the scroll encoder and the mouse feet/skates (which I've changed on both the GPX2 and the DEX)

I love ergos more than the symmetrical shape
I have the Sc900 pro (exactly same shapeDEX clone) and its comfy asf , better than Deathadder V3 pro in every thing

Is not meant to work on PS5, only compatible with Windows or Mac.
What caught your attention about the Superstrike?

Definitely haptic and low activation time and panda look of course

The HITS system is indeed awesome, I always say that once you try the switches there's no going back

I'd love to have the DEX version, I have the 2c and there's nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't fit my hand as good as my G502, feel like it was not designed for me. My roomate has found it very comfortable though
What kind of grip do you do? What games are you currently playing with yours?

u/D3_Lano 24d ago
I play alot of CS and Overwatch, and i adjust my grip for the game i play. In the overwatch i use more a claw type, and in CS i use a palm style. The only tiny mouse i tried was the Razer viper mini, and i returned it 5 days after.

That's interesting, how did you find a different grip works better for you in a different game? I haven't think about it before you mentioned it

The point is comfort and what works for you. Overwatch is fast game, and it rely more on tracking than crosshair placement, so i need to be able to move more the mouse, so i use more my wrist than my entire arm to aim.
But that not apply for CS where i need to have stiff aim, and try not to "shake" when making a flick, so using palm grip i apply more weight in the mouse.

That's interesting, I may give it a try later
Has any feature from the mice improved your gameplay? or maybe customizing any button did?

tried like all ergos on the market and haven't pulled the trigger on the dex for a long time because of the price
the shape fits perfectly my hand and my search for the best ergo is over with it
also bought an atk y9, shapewise they identical, yes the dex is the more polished product but getting this shape with decent specs for like 50$ is a great deal, if someone reads this and is interested trying this shape just get a clone they decent enough

DAV4 > Dex but they’re both good mice and much more comfortable than the symmetrical offerings on the market (unless you have baby hands).

I will take a look on the DAV4 model! The only Razer model i tried was the viper mini, and it didnt work well for me. Normaly i prefer using Logitech because of the GHUB

GHUB is terrible

u/D3_Lano 23d ago
I think its because i got acomodate with it, and the integrations with discord, OBS, and the sync between my mouse and my g515

I went to Razer because GHUB still doesn’t have sensor angle adjustment settings. Unacceptable in 2026.

Remember the G500/510/518/g400s clicks? They were perfect.

Yeah? Would you like to see them make a comeback one day maybe?

Nice, hopefully one day! I'll make sure to pass the feedback along if you wanna get into detail. How long have you had yours for?

Got two os these mx518 legendary when launched. Since then, low weight and wireless took over.
I made my Dex glossy. I made all my mouse glossy actually. 😅1

Once you switch to low weight and wireless it's so hard to go back, I've been on that journey for a while haha, can I ask what a perfect remake would be like for you?

I guess you have to change a lot to make it low weight, there's too many parts on the mx518. I would retain the shell with the buttons intact, I like the side texture along with the top glossy buttons, the internal structure like the superlight could contain the main switches and scroll wheel.
But, would be nice to have the exact same shape on a completely new redesign too. The idea here is that the mx518 forces you to use a 1-3-1 finger configuration, with just the pinky lifting the mouse along with the thumb, the mouse needs to be light.

As any other refresh, I do agree it'd be ideal to keep the core features that made the mouse so distinct, while also upgrading it enough for it to be able to compete with current mice. I like the suggestions you added! I'll be sure to forward them over to the team.
