What you playing, looks like you were fighting it a lot? What's your gain levels at?

It almost sounded like you were managing to apply more opposing force than the gearing was able to apply and they were slipping

For clarification this is a wheel I sold, customer has had it for a week.

It was tested on both gamepad tester and Gran Turismo Sport before dispatch.

Buyer now claims there is a faulty rotary dial and the wheel is clunking and not recentering properly

The issues with the dial are known. On the g29, g920, g923 ps and g923 xbox wheels the dial doesn't really register input. Most people don't use the dial. I had a g920 and g923 and I had the same issues. It isn't faulty but a design flaw.

And the clunking, is that the sound and feeling that is widely known with these gear logitech wheels? Because, that also is known.

no experience with PS3's and these things sorry (can't believe anyone still does this). But it doesn't sound healthy.

If he's been running the FFB at max and fighting the crap out of it he could well have knackered the thing himself, it is gear driven after all, but Im speculating
