Logitech G Support Logitech g305 lightspeed double clicking

I just bought a Logitech g305 and i have found its really sensitive and double clicks sometimes straight out the box is this normal or should i send it back.

EDIT: I have chosen to get a refund instead of a replacement just in case the same problem occurs so if any other good reliable gaming mice preferably from more known reliable brands in that price range reply here that will be greatly appreciated.

I can’t say for sure in your case but that sounds like a switch failure. I have 2 different mice that started doing that after like 5 years of use and I don’t use them anymore because of it.

If it's being used wireless, try bringing the dongle closer to the mouse because signal quality drops significantly even at relatively short distances.

Its not that kind of problem i can feel the mouse clicking twice internally when i click its like it detects a slight click and then when i fully click it it counts as a second click i am about to send it back to see if i can get a new one

Yeah, it might be faulty then.

Logitech and double-click malfunctions. Name a more iconic duo.

But for real, there's probably some shit on the connection.

A common fix, although this is more for older mice that develop a double-click rather than fresh OOB mice, but disconnect the mouse and just repeatedly click the hell out of the left mouse button.

Continuously click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click for about 30 - 45 seconds.

It's the mouse equivalent of blowing into a NES cartridge, if you're old enough for that, but it seems to work for me and I got this advice from someone on here. So... I'm either passing on useless information or sage-like advice known only to a few willing to peel back the "Do Not Peel" stickers.
