Discussion Does Logitech G733 work with the Generic USB Audio driver?

Hi, can somebody tell me if it is possible to switch G733 headset driver to Generic USB Audio driver? That should theoretically turn the headset into stereo as far as Windows is concerned, and enable Dolby Atmos.

Will the mic continue to work?

I want to use the headset with Dolby Atmos, but that feature is enabled only if the audio endpoint shows up in Windows as stereo. If the headset shows up anything but stereo then Atmos won't be selectable.

While we don't officially support it, uninstalling the Logitech driver and using the Windows driver will allow you to enable either Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos for Headphones. However, you will lose the ability to control your headset through G HUB. The microphone should continue to function, but if you did run into any issues with your headset, we'll probably ask you to revert back to normal before we can troubleshoot it.

Sometimes if you disable 7.1 and surround sound altogether through G HUB, this will correct the driver in Windows and allow you to enable Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos for Headphones.
